Great MacBook Air!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just replaced my 7-year-old MacBook Air, and I couldn't be happier. I got the rose gold one, and it is so pretty. Pros: The battery is so much better than my previous Air. The speed is also greatly improved. And I love how lightweight it is. I also didn't notice it at first, but I recently realized there is no fan noise. Loving that! Cons: The only cons, so far, are the ports. I knew they were different from my previous Air when I purchased it, but it is a bit of a downer.

amazing device
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll try to keep it short. Prepare for a thorough adoration rant. Leave now if you're not a fan lol. This is the first computer I've ever owned that just plain works, Without fail. At all times. It's blazing fast. It's bug-free. A little light on memory but I just don't care. Love not needing cooling vents, the first laptop I know of that you can actually put on your lap and not worry about cooling issues. The magic keyboard is magic, the touch and feel is great. The backlight lets me use it outside without the porch light on so the bugs aren't as bad. No data connections but lightning (USB-C) but I don't care, I just buy adapters as I need them. I JUST LOVE that it has a 4.5 mm headphone jack. That rocks for FaceTime or music or privacy. It does everything I need to do, everywhere I need to do it. I love the silver color, it keeps the device cooler in the sun than the space gray option. I don't like gaming but I would like to see how it performs with that just to see if it's possible to really challenge the processor. If it runs out of memory I'll just buy some external memory I guess. I will never buy a PC again even if my life depends on it. It breezes through programs that aren't optimized for macOS Big Sur, which is good because it's new enough that developers haven't adapted to it lots yet. This little dude is an electronic warrior. Get this computer if you just like to get stuff done without drama. Opt for the bigger memory if you're really worried about it. I've had mine for over four months and 256G hasn't been an issue so far. Oh, battery life is amazing. I can power surf or stream or do classwork or word process all day and still have a good amount of juice left over. Save your pennies for however long you need to and get yourself an Apple Silicon computer. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. My experience, my opinion. Thanks for your valuable time. And thank you, Apple.

Efficiency Beyond RAM - A Developer's Delight
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 8GB RAM on this MacBook performs as robustly as 16GB on a Windows system. The efficiency of the Mac processor coupled with its sleek design is remarkable. Its lightweight build makes it effortlessly portable and ensures easy cooling, while its durability and top-notch construction stand out. Remarkably lightweight, this laptop's portability is matched only by its excellent cooling capacity and top-tier durability. In comparison analysis against similarly priced laptops, the MacBook outperforms, boasting 20% faster processing speed and 30% better cooling efficiency. This laptop is an absolute recommendation for developers, designers, and everyday home users alike. I found it exceptional. Even if you have a budget of around $600-700, I strongly advise considering the slight stretch to invest an additional $200 for this outstanding product. It's truly worth it

This thing ROCKS!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say enough good things about the M1 chip. The performance this laptop delivers is absolutely insane. This thing even outperforms my desktop gaming PC in some CPU tasks. Not to mention the battery life is easily 15+ hours on a charge. It never gets hot, and there is no fan noise. Apple has made a truly impressive computer with this one. It really is the ultimate laptop

Macbook Air 13.3" Laptop - Apple M1 Chip
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Macbook to use instead of my ipad. My first Macbook purchase since I've been so used to using ipads. Turns on quickly & super fast to load (websites and apps,) and is super lightweight. I know other laptops have fans on them which makes them get hot quickly, but since I have the M1, I don't feel heat at all. Battery life lasts me all day with one charge. Would recommend to anyone thinking of getting one, just get it, definitely worth your money!

Best value for performance and longevity
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my parents whose primary computer was an aging HP desktop equipped with Windows 7. This was their first laptop, and also their first experience with MacOS. They both are iPhone and iPad users, so the migration to a Mac made more sense than for them to attempt to navigate Windows 11. The Air is perfect for their basic computing needs that consist mostly of light web browsing, emailing, and composing Word and Excel documents. The setup was as easy as expected for two individuals who are already a part of the Apple ecosystem. I did assist in the download and installation process of several software titles and apps, and I was very impressed with the speed of the system. I personally use the M1 MacBook Pro and it seemed even snappier than my own device. Battery life seems to be great, if not quite as good as the Pro version. Easily will get a few days of average use out of the battery, or a full day of heavier use without having to charge. The one disappointment for my parents was the lack of additional ports on the Air, but neither had any specific connectivity need that couldn’t be met with either Bluetooth or wifi. Even their printer is wireless, so that was mostly a superficial gripe. All in all the best device for their needs, and the price was definitely right.

MacBook Air-Love It!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoying this computer and all it has to offer. Have had 2 different pc laptops in the last 10 years touted as "high capacity" but were just were not up to par on some of the task I use them for including pictures, docs, spread sheets, etc Took forever to load, run. etc. This MACBook Air with the Apple M1 chip..WOW. Amazing. Fast, holds a lot of data, battery life is astounding. Delivered quickly and set up was a breeze and user friendly. Also love the lightweight feel.

Best Laptop Ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is so great! The M1 chip processor is awesome fast. Love the Gold color. Save me a lot of money buying a case or cover. Touch ID helps me open the program as fast as a lightning. The display resolution is so crisp...color is so vibrant! The whole computer is very light and portable. I can easily bring it anywhere in the house. It charges really fast, and the battery takes days to go low. I really, really love my new MacBook Air Laptop!

Flew too close to the sun
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked it much more than i thought i would. The main appeal is the light weight, screen quality and long battery life. All things my gaming pc could never provide. I at first was annoyed with usb type c but the brightside is only having to carry one charger for my android phone and computer and dslr is pretty incredible. For its size and capacity i am amazed at how well this handles photoshop and steam. Its not going to change the world or make me abandon my gaming desktop but when tight on storage this is amazing. The down side is the m1. It's a gift and a curse. Benefit is speed and battery with no heat production. It's whisper quiet. The bad is the architecture.. all Mac apps in the last year were designed with Intel in mind so prepare to have to do without due to compatibility issues or suffer through Performance issues. All in all i picked this up during tax free weekend and with a student discount so at that price i am very satisfied with my purchase. The low storage space and incompatibility issues knock down what would otherwise be a perfect score. Apple overcharges for upgrades that would cost an extra 50 bucks on a windows pc and it's time for backlash. It really alienates their customers and drives away enthusiasts but that's in the eye of the beholder

Excellent lightweight small screen laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The M1 "Air" laptop is all that most people need for general purpose use - it has 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of solid state disk and an excellent 13.3 inch screen - plenty for email, light word processing, light gaming, school work, light artwork, has a good built-in camera, microphone and speakers, etc. Mac computers come with an excellent complement of easy-to-use Mac software for general purpose use and, recently, Stacksocial has been offering a great deal on MS Office 2021 for Mac that extends that ecosystem to the Mac, too. It is fast, responsive, extremely reliable, and is very easy and pleasant to use. Most people only use 30 to 50 GB of "disk" storage (this computer uses much faster solid state disk - not less-reliable and slower hard disk). It is comparatively light and thin as laptops go and is easy to carry. The power supply is not clunky and attaches magnetically. All-in-all a good choice, especially at its current discounted price. The M1 generation of Mac chips is similar to but not quite as fast as the M2 generation but is architecturally very similar - there is little to fear that the M1 will become obsolete in the near future. The *one* drawback is that this computer has only 2 Thunderbolt ports for wired connections. Thus, if you want to have a hardwired Ethernet connection (faster and more secure) than the built-in WiFi, you need to buy an external Thunderbolt (not just a USB C-type) dock that includes an Ethernet port. Similarly, if you want to use the computer with a larger, say a 24 or a 27 inch screen you need to have an HDMI port on the dock. And if you have other kinds of devices that you use that have USB A connections the dock must have those, too. There are several reliable docks on the market, so if you need one, they are available. Just make sure that the dock has the kinds and number of ports that you need. I recommend this computer if you need a light and very portable general purpose Mac.
