I was in the market for a laptop when i went back to school and was using my sister's 2012 macbook air. I liked the size and portability while still being easy to use for my slightly bigger than normal hands. I was between the macbook air m1 and m2 (apple processor). I decided on the m1 macbook air since i didnt like the design of the m2 (the notch, and flatness to the chassis). I also liked that it took the same charger as everything else i have now (usb type c). I got the absolute base model and have overall been happy with it, my only issue woth it has probably been my own fault. That issue is with google chrome and the laptop somtimes slowing down where it gives me the loading image of the cursor. I have sometimes noticed it on some other applications however i attribute it to not turning off the laptop as often as i should and having to many windows/ applications open. The keyboard is one of if not the best out there and the speakers are second to none in the class. Overall 5/5 stars for years to come of use.

Macbook Air M1 works great. Love the long battery life and M1 chip is very fast. I feel it is faster than my macbook pro that has 32gb memory so very impressive. Was on the fence about the 8gb ram but it is very fast so it does feel like the apple vs android phone that even with "lower" specs it is more efficient. This is for my son at school and is an upgrade to the chromebook he was using. Will be getting another one for my daughter. I feel confident this will last them a long time.

I have loved this computer! I mainly use it for word processing, emails, browsing, etc., so the Air is all I need. I love the convenience of having everything save to iCloud Drive so I can also access it from my phone. If the screen isn't large enough for you, it's compatible with one external monitor. I've hooked it up to an Asus 24" monitor and it has made a huge difference. The main downside is that this computer only has three ports: two USB-C, and a headphone jack. I have to use a hub to plug in my HDMI cord and the Bluetooth chip for my mouse/keyboard.

…this Dynamic little laptop! This speedy laptop does it all!!! All day battery (all week for some), lovely screen, and more than enough power for 95% of the population. The only flaw in the design (for me) is the lack of a physical key to adjust keyboard backlight. I was trying to convince myself to get the pro, but after my week long “test drive”, I think I’m keeping the air. P.s. Wait and grab an open box. I got mine for $740 and the Apple still honors the Warranty.

This has been the first Mac I have ever purchased. With having all other Apple products in my house, it is nice how seamless it is transferring data between. I have no connectivity issues or issues with slowness. I have been able to use this for school, work + for fun. only downside - the camera is not the best, but still clear

The new M1 processor is fast. The battery life is good. Multiple monitors are not supported (only 1 external monitor unless you buy an adaptor). Some products like VMWare Fusion don't support Windows VMs yet but Parallels does. I like this product but I really dislike BestBuy's new rewards program. I bought this product on my credit card and it doesn't qualify for rewards (read the fine print). So you might want to buy this product from Apple instead of BestBuy.

If your on the edge for purchasing this laptop. Go for it I say this as a person that was strictly against it for the cost. This computer outdoes all of the other computers. It is fast! It does all things college related, as well as crafty. Light weight and small enough to take almost anywhere.

Sleek and stylish, this laptop is great. Plus its very affordable. I love how vibrant the screen is. The device is very thin and easy to hold. When you are using it for a long time the system does not get hot at all on the bottom. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a seriously power laptop in a compact size.

This is my first Mac and I have absolutely loved it from day one. It is perfect for my small business needs. I love that is lightweight. Being able to access everything from my iCloud means that I can work with my iPhone, Macbook, or iPad without any issues.

Even though it’s 2024, I decided to buy this 2020 m1 version anyways. I’m going to be editing light videos. I think the only thing I’ll need is an external hard drive. It works so great. Also, the gold MacBook looks like a rose gold which is amazing.

This is the first mac I have ever bought and it has exceeded my expectations. It has all day battery life advertised and I can say that is a 100% true. On top of the great battery life, there's not much this great computer cant do. From casual browsing to various other more intense activities like video editing and photoshop. Do keep in mind you can always get one with better specs if you need to anything particularly that requires that.

Everything that's been said about the M1 chip is true -- replaced an Intel Core i5 3.6 GHz machine with 16 GB of RAM with this unit, and in every respect it's faster, more responsive, easier to use, etc. The keyboard is best in class and approaches best in history status. The screen is gorgeous. Battery life is outstanding, it lasts me all day long even when editing photos in Lightroom. Tremendous product, even at the lowest-end configuration.
