Amazing speed, even through Rosetta 2 translation. However, I found that opening certain combinations of stuff such as a second monitor (because the video memory uses the unified memory, VS Code, Github, 4 tabs of chrome, and DataGrip made this computer a bit sluggish (as to be expected). I would be using 8-10 GB of swap. I've since then upgraded to the 13" pro with 16gb, and then the 14" pro with 16gb. Its super fast CPU and fast swap storage didn't compensate for the 8GB, as I foolishly thought it would.

I am an Apple product lover through and through but I was worried about going from a Pro to an Air, however, this computer has far surpassed my expectations. The shipping was extremely fast and the computer is light and does everything I need it to do and more. 10/10 on this purchase. The battery life is unbelievable compared to my MacBook Pro!

I have put off buying a macbook for years and I wish I had done it forever ago. It's so light, so fast and so pretty. I've had macbooks for work before so I know this will last a good long time. Highly recommend. Of course if apple made the screen touchscreen it would be perfect.

WOW this thing is super fast and hardly ever gets hot when your editing videos or picture and even gaming. the battery lasts forever!

Love this computer. This was my first MacBook purchase and I only have good things to say. It's fast, has great storage, and is easy to use with my iPhone and iPad. Love that they can all talk to each other and you can pick up where you left off on any connected device. Perfect size too. Battery life is pretty good and the display is phenomenal.

It was time for me to upgrade my 2017 MacBook to something newer and i love it soooo much. I turned in the old one and got money to put towards the new one. It is smaller and lighter than my old MacBook air. It is faster and the processing speed is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone in school or need a reliable laptop.

Still one of the best laptops I’ve owned. The M1 chip is fast, quiet, and handles everyday work without breaking a sweat. Battery life is excellent, it’s super lightweight, and macOS runs smoothly. For the size and performance, it’s incredibly reliable and still holds up really well.

I have loved this computer! I mainly use it for word processing, emails, browsing, etc., so the Air is all I need. I love the convenience of having everything save to iCloud Drive so I can also access it from my phone. If the screen isn't large enough for you, it's compatible with one external monitor. I've hooked it up to an Asus 24" monitor and it has made a huge difference. The main downside is that this computer only has three ports: two USB-C, and a headphone jack. I have to use a hub to plug in my HDMI cord and the Bluetooth chip for my mouse/keyboard.

I have been a PC person my whole life and this is my first Mac. Takes a little while to get used to the differences but the performance and battery life is unmatched. Does everything I want including photo editing using Lightroom very snappy with no extra time loading. I’ve never had a computer where I didn’t have to worry about charging for the entire day of use. Overall very satisfied and if you can find an open box the price cut is well worth it.

Love the new Mac with M1 chip! Outstanding battery performance, camera is much better and operating speed is lightening fast. Only gave 4 stars due to the fact that I wasn't aware this new version of the laptop does not have a port to support thumb-drives for downloading, so another Apple purchase for that is required.

It is fast, portable, light. The M1 chip option is not compartible with some softwares compare to the intel versiin.

It’s an excellent laptop for college. It starts up really fast, battery can last a good 2-3 days with no charging, you can have multiple tabs and editing applications open with no overheating and you don’t even have to worry about the fan going off like a helicopter in the middle of class since it has a chip. Overall, it’s a 10/10 for me.

I really enjoy this mac book air! its very light and fast. Battery lasts me a couple of days with using it for school.

This thing is quite amazing. I have been an Apple guy since the early 2000s and haven't been this excited about an Apple product since the iPhone came out. This is a joy to use. I have a 16in Intel MacBook Pro for work and the M1 MacBook Air is so much better in every way. The speed, battery life and how it wakes up immediately from sleep are amazing. I have an iPad Pro and don't use it as much now. The only bummer is the one external monitor limitation but otherwise this is the perfect laptop.
