fantastic machine, the Macbook Air M1. - 8GB is more than enough for most normal usage. Its as fast (if not faster) than windows machines w/ 16GB RAM. - the M1 processor kicks x86 butt - For the first time, an Apple device is actually cheaper than an equivalent Windows device. - lighter, longer battery life, more powerful and cheaper. Thats a killer combination. - I'm a convert to the Macbook Air M1

The online rave reviews convinced me to switch away from windows and buy this MacBook Air M1. This is one amazing computer. For the money this is the fastest, the quietist, longest battery life, best keyboard, best track pad, great aluminum build, excellent screen and it is beautiful to look at. The aluminum and plastic are all recycled materials. macOS Big Sur 11.5.1 is spectacular as well. Recommended.

Super light, fast and gorgeous. As with most new Apple laptops, had to get a USB A adapter. Only two USB C ports and one of them is used up by the power cable. Obviously not designed to be for super heavy useage, but perfect for on the go.

Extremely great value, such a powerful device on sale is a steal, would definitely recommend to students due to its great portability and size, it can literally fit in any backpack with ease. You con so literally anything school related in one of these. Interface is a bit tricky at the beginning if this is your first MacBook, but once you get the hang of it, everything runs so much smoother.

I love this macbook air cheaper, it almost same work with macbook pro and it’s way cheaper. The battery last for more than a week if you don’t use it often. Highly recommend this. It is also best gift for someone.

This is my go to laptop when I travel. It is light, super fast, 10 hours battery life, and it just works (Mac). The keyboard is a joy to type on, and I didn't realize the M1 allows almost instant on. I turn to my Mac more than my iPad Pro, even to watch things. I would rather get the Air than the M1 pro, because fanless.

First new computer purchase as an adult and I couldn’t be happier. I am an iPhone user and this MacBook Air is fantastic! It runs extremely fast, doesn’t get hot and is awesomely thin! I was surprised how much easier it is to use over a different type of laptop. Would most definitely recommend and would buy again. Hoping I don’t have to buy another one though!!!

The screen on this laptop is gorgeous, the Touch ID is quick and a wonderful addition to a personal computer, the keyboard is best in class (so much better than those butterfly keyboards of old), and all of this in a thin, light machine. I love the portability of this computer, as it will be a main computer and a travel companion. Anything that needs pulled up feels as if it is waiting on demand - everything just snaps up and loads so quickly. The only complaint I have with the MacBook Air is its battery capacity. I will not deduct a star for the battery capacity because it will pretty much make it through an eight hour work day of productivity tasks including surfing the web, streaming and air playing video, and typing documents. After the eight hours have passed, the computer is on fumes and needs charged. This does meet my needs, though my three year old MacBook Pro did do better on lasting my daily needs. I am always near a charging outlet and charger, so this isn’t a huge deal, but I worry about battery degradation. This computer is such a powerhouse in such a small package and at a relatively affordable price considering what you get and after paying the Apple premium. It makes light work of all the tasks I throw at it. I definitely recommend this comptuer.

I recently picked up the MacBook Air 13.3 from Best Buy, and it's been an absolute game-changer. Apple's sleek design, a stunning Retina display, and the M1 chip's power make it a powerhouse. I am a data science researcher and I was worried about Unified Memory (RAM) size and the compatibility of my current programs. After using this laptop as my only laptop for over a month, there is nothing to be worried about! I use Matlab, Python, Terminal, specific packages made for Intel, Cellprofiler, Adobe, Office 365, Zoom, Chrome, and more! Everything runs great!!! No hiccups no compatibility issues.. Nothing. Unified Memory (RAM) is never a problem. Having all office apps open, illustrator and acrobat, safari, 5 desktops minimum, spotify, and other apps I use occasionally, it runs SMOOTH! I regularly hit 6.6GBs of 8GB use. I notice there is use of the swap memory more often, but the engineers at Apple, latest SSD controllers, and the latest SSD storage is able to handle this and even longterm. Battery life is amazing! No issues. Runs smooth and fast. Buy the baseline Macbook Air do not buy the pro or the 16GB Unified Memory.

The M1 chip still holds up for almost all my college tasks. It's been a month since I owned it and I've had no problems with this product. The packaging was top-notch and BestBuy delivered it within a day of purchase. Go get it if you're looking for a back-to-school laptop that is value for money!

apple did not fail to impress me with this mac. the exterior is smooth and modern like and overall looks great. the gold looks like a rose gold fyi, no complaints tho. the sound quality is amazing and the speed is extremely fast. so happy with this purchase!

I wish I would have gone to Mac years ago! After a few years my old laptops would get bogged down with the antivirus software...painfully slow in starting up...we've all been there! Not anymore. Apple has its own security features...bye bye Norton. Lightning fast, small and compact, perfect for at home or travel. This would be ideal for traveling students as well, super light.

Absolutely love it. Easy to set up and use. Love that it is fast, responsive and extremely reliable. Also, perfectly light and thin, so it is very easy to carr around the university. Can’t wait to continue to learn and use other features.

I have an M1 MacMini and bought this M1 MacBook Air to use on the road/traveling. The Air is slim and has the same snappy performance as the Mini. Both are great. With no fan and a solid-state drive, it's ideal as a traveling computer. I highly recommend it. Also, the lower price of the Air and its similar performance made it simple for me to buy it rather than the MacBook Pro.
