Couldn't be happier. Long-time Mac and current 27" iMac user here, and after reading tons of reviews on the current (M1) line, it was pretty clear that the 13" M1 MacBook Air was the right choice for me in terms of power, portability, and price point. I had an 11" MacBookAir years back that I loved, and I love this one even more. Best Buy was great... my new Air came right away, much faster than other shops were offering. Highly recommend!

Fantastic, fast, BEAUTIFUL laptop. I stare in awe at it everyday. The MacBook Air m1 is lighting fast and GORGEOUS. I prefer the wedge shape over the m2. The speed and portability is outstanding. I love this laptop and I’m SO glad that I decided to pick it up. My best purchase in YEARS.

I’ve had an iPhone and an I watch for several years and a friend of mine gave me their old MacBook Pro but it’s so old that I can’t update it anymore and I’m going back to school for the first time in 20 years and I needed a new computer. And I knew that would be nice to have a Mac system because it would sync with my other devices, And as much as I know they’re worth it I couldn’t afford a 2023 MacBook Air and I needed something light. But I looked it up and I read that the 2020 MacBook Air‘s were rated very well And it ends up being less than half the price of buying a brand new one even with the AppleCare coverage. So I’m really happy with it because it was a way for me to get a new computer which I’ve never had in my entire life, and I got the brand I wanted just a model that was a few years older, but never been used. And it was super easy to set up. It couldn’t have been easier. So I am very very happy with the purchase.

I am a college student and was looking to get my first ever laptop. I've always used Windows OS but after using MacOS, I can't believe I was missing it the entire time. The optimization, simplistic UI, and you simply can't overlook the speed of M1 chip in this thing. On top of that, you will get a 2560x1600 resolution which I must say, is "crisp".
I prefer Air because of it's size, portability, and battery can suffice for more than a day's work.
10/10 recommend it ;)

This machine is excellent. Great battery life. Great performance. Great size for portability. Never gets hot. If you are a student or a communicator who is mainly working off of Microsoft office suite and using software programs that are library based you will never have a problem with this one.

Great laptop at a great price. While the MacBook Air is a great machine at the starting price, I was able to snag a Black Friday sale coupled with an open box deal, which made it hard to pass up.
This computer is an excellent computer to achieve most user’s needs. It is a productivity dream, but it is able to handle video editing (to meet my needs), photo editing, along with other demanding tasks without showing fatigue.
The screen on this laptop is gorgeous, the Touch ID is quick and a wonderful addition to a personal computer, the keyboard is best in class (so much better than those butterfly keyboards of old), and all of this in a thin, light machine. I love the portability of this computer, as it will be a main computer and a travel companion. Anything that needs pulled up feels as if it is waiting on demand - everything just snaps up and loads so quickly.
The only complaint I have with the MacBook Air is its battery capacity. I will not deduct a star for the battery capacity because it will pretty much make it through an eight hour work day of productivity tasks including surfing the web, streaming and air playing video, and typing documents. After the eight hours have passed, the computer is on fumes and needs charged. This does meet my needs, though my three year old MacBook Pro did do better on lasting my daily needs. I am always near a charging outlet and charger, so this isn’t a huge deal, but I worry about battery degradation.
This computer is such a powerhouse in such a small package and at a relatively affordable price considering what you get and after paying the Apple premium. It makes light work of all the tasks I throw at it. I definitely recommend this comptuer.

Coming from the Windows world, the transition has been pretty straight forward. This lightweight is a heavyweight in my opinion. No fans to deal with, a fast processor, the flexibility to be a mobile user or connect your favorite monitor and instant desktop. Suiting me fine for general web browsing, YouTube, Apple TV+, streaming services, It does it all with ease. Plus the benefit of connected to all of my Apple devices. Win-Win.

Purchased this for my parents whose primary computer was an aging HP desktop equipped with Windows 7. This was their first laptop, and also their first experience with MacOS. They both are iPhone and iPad users, so the migration to a Mac made more sense than for them to attempt to navigate Windows 11.
The Air is perfect for their basic computing needs that consist mostly of light web browsing, emailing, and composing Word and Excel documents. The setup was as easy as expected for two individuals who are already a part of the Apple ecosystem. I did assist in the download and installation process of several software titles and apps, and I was very impressed with the speed of the system. I personally use the M1 MacBook Pro and it seemed even snappier than my own device.
Battery life seems to be great, if not quite as good as the Pro version. Easily will get a few days of average use out of the battery, or a full day of heavier use without having to charge.
The one disappointment for my parents was the lack of additional ports on the Air, but neither had any specific connectivity need that couldn’t be met with either Bluetooth or wifi. Even their printer is wireless, so that was mostly a superficial gripe.
All in all the best device for their needs, and the price was definitely right.

I have had my Macbook for just over a year now. I LOVE this thing!!! It worked great for keeping up with paperwork as a SPED teacher last school year. It's really easy to travel with, I have taken it on a road trip and I was able to coneect to the WIFI in my car and keep working on a course while being a passenger princess. I have also taken it on a flight to Hawaii and it was so nice to watch movies on the flight. This is one of the lightest laptops I have owned and makes traveling with it so easy. I am so thankful the employee at Best Buy asked what I would be using my Macbook for and suggested the MacBook Air to me so I was able to spend less than I planned to.

I wanted a personal laptop with good quality, lightweight but above all with a GOOD BATTERY. This laptop meets all my requirements. I am happy with it. Great screen quality, keyboard and tremendous speed.
The only bad thing is, if you are going to limit the user to USB-C ports at least put one on each side so we can charge the laptop from either side.
Even better put one on each side and one on the back. It's not rocket science Apple!

Absolutely an amazing machine. Lightweight but gets the job done. I am a seasoned ML engineer. I can easily work on this device since I do my number crunching on ssh servers. Very fast for lots of tabs open, reading papers on the side and using VS code/vim

I have been a Pc user / Gamer for a long time and still own a nice Ryzen 7 3700x with a 5700xt system, I have owned apple laptops and desktops before but was never really impressed. So after the M1 was released I decided to try it again to see what all the talk was about and WOW it blew away many other systems I own and really held its own. No it was not faster than my gaming system but it did play games quite well and smooth for many games.
It was able to perform in browsing, video editing, and Light to mid Gaming very well and from what I can tell will only get better as more companies provide support for arm.
The really amazing part about this in my tests is it ran amazingly fast and did so with such a low power cpu and it was quiet
I installed parallels and ran the arm version of windows and was able to play games like world of warships, sim city 4 and a few others with no issues.
In the arm list of games that run on mac directly I ran a few games from Steam and world of warcraft all ran ok with no issues.
Will all games work prob not, but it can game.

This is the best value for non-professional use. It's light and fanless (so no fan noise). But don't be fooled. It handles day to day activities like a champ.
I bought it for $799. Nothing else comes close to the price to performance.
Great battery life, screen, speakers, keyboard and touchpad
