I brought a MacBook Air i3 8 GB literally a few days before the M1 came out. I was disappointed by how warm my i3 got for doing the slightest bit of tasks and the fan came on and it was a noticeable sound. I didn’t want to have to worry about fan noise and my MBA heating up so I returned my i3 and bought the M1. Literally, day and night! This thing is super fast and powerful and the battery life is amazing! No more worries about fan noise or CPU temperature with multiple tabs open. I am so happy I switched to the M1 and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for their first MacBook purchase or wanting to upgrade from the Intel model or any previous model.

The device seems to have a charging issue, doesn’t charge while using. When it runs low on power, have to shutdown and recharge. What’s up with that? It is a defective unit?

Do not buy! It has a design flaw where the screen will crack for no reason. There are two large class-action lawsuits because of Apple knowing this design flaw but then trying to charge people for a screen repair when there was no mechanism of damage. I bought my labptop in August 2021 and now they are asking for 514 dollars to repair the screen. This was the second time the screen developed a crack for no reason!

After 14 months of light used, the screen is having many issues. There are many vertical lines and the letters are not clear.

Too problematic. Still working through issues with this after I migrated from an 11 year old Mac. Syncing problems, and kernel panic problems.

Purchased as Open Box Excellent in September. The accessories weren’t working and I went in and had replaced. It was turned on and put away until Christmas as a gift. First day using it it keeps crashing and giving errors. I was told there is a motherboard issue causing it. How can something be open box excellent only to be broken upon first use? disgraceful business practice as it’s no longer returnable? And something I thought would be new didn’t have a warranty.

Terrible sold us a computer that was completely useless had someone’s previous passwords in it could not reset computer to use it returned it after talking to customer service. They sent it back to me saying we could not return it because it was locked by a password called Best Buy again sent it back still waiting for refund. Terrible customer service and will never buy another thing from them

to slow a lot of pop ups dictionary pops up every time i am working on something sound needs adjusting

Its okay. Nothing special. Its kinda small but my daughter is happy with it. I would have never bought it but I got it for her since she has been doing an outstanding job at school and the house.

The best new feature is the fingerprint scanner! You don’t have to sign in every time with the new scanner. I got my MAC during the Black Friday sale and am still learning about the newest features.

Don’t buy not worth it . Used it for school typed up papers only to have the format change when I sent it

Keypad is not good, processor is not, laptop is not good, color is not good. Rest all is good

It's my first Apple and probably my last. Not impressed with the operating system... Why to I have to have Apple applications on the desktop?

The mac tends to wobble upon placibg your palm on the rest, especially on semi-uneven surfaces, then the problem is amplified.

Not impressed Except I dislike Microsoft ways with their tactics. It's like you buy their items but they still attempt to control everything else! Parasites.

I am a windows person, apple is just not for me. Its all your preference at the end of the day.

I’m still trying to figure out how to use it, it would help if there was some directions for older people who might not know how to use a computer
