M1 is good but can't make legacy software work

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The M1 chip is powerful but I ran into issues of using my office 2016 and Matlab 2019a since they are not optimized for M1 chips. I have to return the product even after days of trying to make those programs work. Will stay with my 2017 air for now till there is a better way of using legacy software.

New Mac Book good and fast
