This laptop is my first apple computer after years of swearing by PCs. I am very pleased with the quality and ease of use of the mac. I was looking for something to use for school that will boot up quickly every time, be snappy flipping through different tabs, and have an easy-to-use UI. This laptop fits the bill perfectly. The computer is very snappy and is able to do everything I need to do with ease. I am even able to do some light-moderate gaming which was unexpected but am very pleased with. The laptop runs Civilization VI with ease. The keyboard is fantastic, and the screen is very sharp. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will be content with staying with apple for my laptops.

I bought this product during black friday sale and it is awesome.The battery life is too good. Processing speed is excellent.

Reviews regarding performance and battery life are mostly correct, though it's highly dependent on what you're running. Definitely capable of lasting all day (8 to 10 hours) while having dropbox, terminal, a web server, a text editor and chrome with 20+ tabs. I can get it to slow down every now and then if I have video running, an external monitor, compilation along with the above, etc. all going, but slowdowns are fairly infrequent. 8GB version seems ok, but I end up with 5 to 6GB of swap with the workload described above.

Love my laptop, it is fast, light and it was a great price. I don't use it for any gaming, or complex videos, but it is a good system for my needs!!!

Overall every apple product is best. This purchase proved everything. Even if it’s a older model it still runs fast and very easy to navigate.

Works great! Can sometimes get very hot when using it and unfortunately does not last 18 hours but works for me and I love it!

This product's display is impressive, and the Apple M1 chip makes it really fast compared to previous models. The sale price made it an easy choice when I decided to replace my existing older device.

Works well for Zoom meetings and Microsoft office, with added bonus of HBO apps and sidecar iPad integration. Overall, a great value compared to the latest M1 MacBook Pro, not lacking the speed without annoying Touch Bar or fan noise.

This MacBook is fast , elegant, and it does what it’s supposed to do without heating up. Proud dad here as my daughter just got accepted into Santa Clara university this MacBook will serve her well for the next few years. So glad I was able to get this for her.

This is my first time ever purchasing a laptop from Apple (I'm a Windows or Linux user usually). I must say that I am impressed! The fast responsiveness of the laptop when opening an application makes so much of a difference. For reference, I purchased the base model Macbook Air, and it does serve all of my purposes as a student and content creator (you will probably need some sort of extra storage if you plan on doing any sort of content creation). As for battery life, if you have many, many applications open (let's say a virtual machine, watching YouTube, and something else), the battery life will drain. If you are just studying, opening Netflix, and doing something else less heavy, your battery will definitely last all day. Less intensive apps = more battery life. This is still a powerful machine but stay realistic.

its a MacBook Air on apple silicon - can't go wrong with this (even though its 8GB RAM). Battery life and peed are industry leading.

This laptop has such long battery life. It's very fast with good picture quality. 1st Apple computer so I don't have much frame of reference but it feels like a good buy! I highly recommend for anyone looking for high speed, long battery, and responsive laptop.

I bought the MacBook Air for my girlfriend's birthday. She is very happy with it. It is fast and the screen is very nice. The size is perfect to carry around and the screen is large enough to see clearly.
