I bought the M1 version of the MacBook Air on sale for $749.99. I bought the base model because I felt the higher models wasn’t worth it for my needs. The base storage is too small. I also purchased an external hard drive to hold more data. This laptop is well-built and replaces my 2016 MacBook Pro. The thing I love about this new were version is the keyboard is much better, The battery last much much longer now on a single charge, The fingerprint ID is a nice addition and the pink color laptop is nice to look at. I hope this laptop will last me at least another 5 to 6 years before I have to replace it. It’s perfect for daily use for simple task and M1 chip is just wonderful.

Fast, compact, and lightweight, a pleasure to use. Excellent battery life. Minor complaint is that it shuts down much too quickly if not in use, prompting constant log-ins.

Perfect size for portability, quick, efficient. Bought for my high school student who attends college at a nearby campus versus attending her high school. This computer is a great tool to allow her to complete assignments where ever she finds herself- home, school or even at work. It's light weight and very easy to take with her. This is it... this is the 'perfect' Laptop. The laptop that delivers desktop performance in an ultra mobile package at an unreal price. Everything positive that you have heard about this laptop is 100% true - it is a unicorn, an actual unicorn. I don't keep this thing plugged into a wall, and it delivers the same performance for hours and hours with no heat generation at all. It is actually spooky to use this laptop, because of how buttery smooth it performs while having multiple applications open at once... and your expecting it to get hot... but it does not even get warm. Battery lasts a really long time, a long time, I have not timed it or anything but, its days. The base model does everything I need it to do, which is mainly writing code and watching multiple tabs of Youtube videos; so I cannot comment on editing media/videos but from what I have experienced, I am convinced this laptop is capable of doing anything - absolutely anything... For the amount of performance you get for the unreal price... you cannot beat this laptop, it is absolutely nuts.

Nice and thin with good build quality. Performance is really good. With the new M1 chip the laptop wakes up immediately from sleep, like the iPad does. It’s quiet since there is no fan inside but haven’t had a problem with heat unlike intel versions. The keyboard is so much better now that they went back to the scissor design. Also no one else can match the trackpad on an Apple laptop. For basic tasks it sips the battery so you can easily get a whole day. If you are looking for something portable with good performance this MacBook is perfect for you.
