From Windows to Mac: A Grad Student’s Review
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the MacBook Air 13.3" with the Apple M1 chip on December 30, 2022, marking my first switch from a long-time Windows user. For my graduate studies, it has proven to be an excellent choice. The 8GB of memory and 256GB SSD manage R, Python, and terminal tasks with ease. The performance is smooth, and the battery life is impressive, making it ideal for extended study sessions. The Space Gray design is stylish, though the storage might be a bit tight for large datasets. Overall, it’s been a reliable and impressive laptop for my academic work.

Great educational computer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop has combined speed and power for academic and personal activities. Browsing the internet, reviewing and creating documents, printing material with ease has helped our children tackle recent forms and activities. Much better than the old Intel-based PC laptop. Get this one while on sale.

I bought one for my son to send off to college with as well. He loves his. We had the use the Apple Care once to fix his screen. Great buy! Mac book air
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MacBook Air 13.3” (M1, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) Review The MacBook Air with the M1 chip is an absolute powerhouse in an ultra-slim package. The fanless design keeps it silent while still delivering impressive performance for everyday tasks and even some heavier workloads. The Retina display is sharp and vibrant, making it great for media consumption and productivity. Battery life is outstanding, easily lasting a full day on a single charge. While 8GB RAM and 256GB storage might feel limiting for power users, the optimized macOS ensures smooth performance. Overall, it’s one of the best lightweight laptops for portability, reliability, and longevity.

Fast / Easy to operate
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works very fast and its a sleek thin design. It has everything a college kid or average computer user would need. Beautiful on screen display. This macbook is the newest one out but i just heard apple announce a new macbook to release later this year. Its supposed to have many more color options and a new M1 chip thats faster and mor efficient. So if you can wait 4-5 months you can get the newest macbook air

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Pc user / Gamer for a long time and still own a nice Ryzen 7 3700x with a 5700xt system, I have owned apple laptops and desktops before but was never really impressed. So after the M1 was released I decided to try it again to see what all the talk was about and WOW it blew away many other systems I own and really held its own. No it was not faster than my gaming system but it did play games quite well and smooth for many games. It was able to perform in browsing, video editing, and Light to mid Gaming very well and from what I can tell will only get better as more companies provide support for arm. The really amazing part about this in my tests is it ran amazingly fast and did so with such a low power cpu and it was quiet I installed parallels and ran the arm version of windows and was able to play games like world of warships, sim city 4 and a few others with no issues. In the arm list of games that run on mac directly I ran a few games from Steam and world of warcraft all ran ok with no issues. Will all games work prob not, but it can game.

This is the laptop to buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MacBook Air is a perfect light computing device. The battery lasts for days, the CPU never gets hot, there's no fan so it is silent, the display is one of the best you can buy, the keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards, and the performance is amazing. A note about performance. I have a couple computers: the entry level MacBook Air -- 8 GB of RAM and the 256 GB SSD and a desktop with a Ryzen 5900X and 64 GB of RAM with a 1 TB NVMe drive with a 2000 MB/s write speed. That is not as fast as the SSD in the MacBook Air but it's not slow. For 3D printing, I use PrusaSlicer. On the Mac, a relatively simple but large model took 2.3 seconds to slice. On my Ryzen 5900X, it took 3.1 seconds. That's not a huge difference but the Ryzen processor costs nearly as much as I paid for the MacBook Air. I only got the MacBook Air to use for mostly light tasks but the fact that it performs well above its entry-level class is a huge bonus. This entry level computer can, in many tasks, keep up and even surpass high-end processors. Now, there are many things I can do faster with the Ryzen 9 (e.g., something that can make use of all 24 threads) but with this an entry-level laptop, Apple hit a home run. I'm never going back to Windows-based laptops.

Must have for college students
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 2014 MacBook Air. Significant increase in battery life, speed, ease of multitasking, and much more. Great for full time students with online lectures and taking lots of notes. Also, easy and fluid ecosystem when paired with other Apple products.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop for my every day usage. Good hardware, OS not so...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not very bad in general. The built is good. Battery is what M1 claims. It lasts very long time. The Macbook Air has a premium touch. I like the hardware a lot. Offering very good daily driver machine: light weight, high performance, long lasting battery and very nice looking. And that's it. The Operating System (iOS) is very bad... Honestly. I think for people who are using Apple from their day one, it is ok since they don't know what other OS providers can offer. I use Windows, Linux (Mint), ChromeOS and iOS for long enough... I honestly like the Linux Mint the most, next the Chrome OS, and Apple iOS is in the same position with Microsoft (win11). I may try to install Linux on my MacBook air. Maybe. Do I recommend? Maybe. Some people know only iOS. It integrates well with all Apple products. Which is very good.

Great, User-friendly Everyday Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this MacBook! One of my favorite things about it is the sleek and attractive design. It is slim, light, and easy to travel with which makes it perfect for work. I always carry it with me wherever I go. It is fast, reliable, and overall a wonderful laptop. The keyboard is also "soft" which makes typing that much easier of a task. I feel this is overall just a wonderful laptop.

Incredible Little Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprisingly great value, replaced my quad Corei5 MacBook Pro 16GB RAM I got new in March of 2020. Everything about this MacBook Air is better from performance to battery life. I bought it to see what the hype of M1 is and was shocked to see how compatible all the Intel software was. I had almost no issues, but even with an issue here and there, the performance and battery life made it a much better experience, not to mention zero fan and heat coming from it.
