I am happy enough with the laptop since I only use it for e-mails and letters. It took a little while to get use to the different format versus my old laptop which I had for years.

Everything I had hoped for and then some! Set up was extremely easy and quick which was one of my initial concerns transitioning from a Windows PC.

I have a sense of regret buying this notebook. It is all the things the promotional material says BUT if you use WIFI or Bluetooth this notebook may not be for you. The computer drops wifi quite easily and in my case in an international hotel only get the internet till one in the afternoon. After being on the phone with Apple for hours problem solving, they recommended that the hotel change their wifi settings to suit my notebook. This is no way travel and if this continues for another month then I will return the notebook. I have had Apple notebooks for 12 years and a 2013 MacBook Air prior to this new MacBook Air M1 and experienced no such problems. It appears that the Intel chip version of the MacBook Air that preceded the new M1 chip does not have this fault AND has better wifi speed AND is $200 less.

Honestly haven’t had a chance to use it much due to working from home with remote learning going on but from the bit of time I’ve spent on it, I like it so far!!

Build quality is topnotch, esthetically pleasing with plenty of programs geared towards the creative types. Apple has taken huge steps to protect your privacy over the years and arguably apples privacy standards are arguably the strongest within the mainstream consumer markets todate. Though dont be fooled because dispite popular belief current macbooks are still vulnerable to viruses and Trojans so be diligent when you download that file or clicking away at random websites. Now for me the biggest downside is the Operating system, MacOS. It hindered my workflow and forces me to work the way apple tells me to work. So i had to knock 1.5 stars off and .5 stars for connectivity between my android phone.

I love my MacBook. I have had it for going on two years. I definitely wouldn’t buy anything else but apple products.

Macs are always the best! Unfortunately/or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the one we were replacing came back to life!

This is a replacement for a 4 year old Mac with nearly identical features. I love it.
