    You pay for the apple brand. Functionally, this laptop works similarly to a pc that costs half as much. I have not noticed a lot of difference in performance between this mac and a new pc laptop containing an intel chip. In terms of operating system, it takes a little getting used to if you are a pc user. The shortcuts and navigation are different. Otherwise it is a great product and works great.
