This laptop works great! I've had a couple of Macs before but never an Air and it is so light but also durable and fast. I can do everything I need to with the specs for this and it runs smooth. Highly recommend!

Apple computer runs well and is not difficult to use or figure out with the applications. Very simple and easy to search if you have to look for something. Lightweight, easy to carry around

The best MacBook yet. The M1 Air is amazing. We opted for the base model and it's been a welcome replacement for our 2013 13" Air. Incredibly fast, great screen and lightweight. 8GB RAM seems to be plenty so far. The M1 and Big Sur seem to manage SoC RAM much differently than we are accustomed to. I recommend this to anyone on the fence about upgrading.

As someone who has been a primarily PC user for decades, taking the plunge on an Apple computer was initially a daunting task. And everyone has heard about the fact that Apple sells people on their name with "lesser" specs than what you can get from a PC of a similar price. What I've learned is that what you cannot account for until you see it in action is the way Apple is able to make those "lesser" specs work for them in a way that is so smooth and seamless. Eight gb of ram? Sure, but it's 8 gb optimized to work with anything and everything that Apple has available. I primarily use my laptop for music production. I would spend weekends trying to get my audio interfaces, midi instruments, and settings all playing nice with one another. This Mac? Plug it in and it just works. That alone is worth the new os learning curve (which isn't that painful and actually kind of fun). Bottom line: at $1,000 you can get a decent Windows based laptop that probably has better specs on paper. That's the way I used to do it. But in practice and in use? Nothing touches this as far as finish, build quality, intuitive use, and lack of peripheral and software headaches. Do yourself a favor and consider an Apple the next time you're looking to upgrade.

My last two jobs came with MacBook Pro devices. They converted me, so when my PC laptop in the personal life was going to become obsolete, I leaned eagerly and hard into researching Mac options and patiently awaited a newer round to come on the market for an eventual sale, which my word, was Best Buy generous in its early rounds of pre holiday sales. The Air is my first, both in the Air series, and first M1 chip. Everything loads so fast, the battery charge lasts an eternity, and wow, crisp screen and graphics. I’m seriously in love with the gold, which is more of a rose gold. It makes it easy to see in my drawer in the home office from my work device, but most of all, this color is vibrant, fun, and kind of reminds me of the hype of iMacs in the early 2000s. Very cool and very excited, and not nearly as broke as feared getting a Mac would ever make me. Thanks, Best Buy and Apple!

As an “entry level Mac”, it’s incredible. I love that there is no fan, so having it sit on my lap for hours athletics I’m working is no big deal. It’s fast, the OS is great, and having all of my pictures and information sync between devices is fantastic. I will definitely be buying another one soon for my wife.

I’ve only ever owned PCs, but for the past few years I’ve had iPhones and an iPad. I figured with all the problems I’d had in the past with PCs, it was time to make the switch. I’m still adjusting to it, but overall, I really like it. It operates smoothly, and it’s the perfect size. I wasn’t sure if I needed the Pro or not, but after watching several review videos and looking at ratings, it became clear that I didn’t need the Pro; this one works perfectly for my needs. The only con to this (and other Macs) is it doesn’t have touchscreen, which was a bit if a hangup for me since that’s what I’m used to and how convenient it is. However, I’m happy with my purchase and glad I finally made the switch.

This was our first MacBook and extremely happy with it. Works so much faster than any other laptop we’ve had in the past. Definitely glad we made the switch, will never go back. It’s seamless operation and ease of navigation makes for a frustration-free experience whether you are trying to store photos or game.

We love Apple products. Purchased for my daughter who is a rising freshman in college. We used the Student Deals which made the price affordable and she received a free pair of 1st generation airpods with the purchase. She uses it for FaceTime more than anything. Battery life is pretty long and the gold color is beautiful.

I got this for coding, work and word processing. Not into laptop gaming, but the screen would be awesome for it if I was! I love apple products bc you expect sleek design and fast processors. You def get that with the MacBook Air! I’m def happy I came back to apple for my laptop needs!

It’s an amazing MacBook. My boyfriend bought it for his work and I bought one for my school. It easy to use and it has great features, not to mention the long lasting battery life.

I have pushed this computer and its new Apple-made processor to its limits and found that those limits exceeded my expectations on nearly every level. I’ve also used it in the way a MacBook Air is really meant to be used: as an everyday computer for workaday tasks. When doing so, I clocked eight and sometimes 10 hours of continuous use on battery. Coming into this review, I had a catalog of potential pitfalls that Apple could have fallen into when switching from an Intel chip to its own processor. Chip transitions are devilishly hard and don’t usually go smoothly. This MacBook Air not only avoids almost all of those pitfalls, but it gleefully leaps over them.
