||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the MacBook Air with the M1 chip for a few months now, and I have to say, it's been an absolute game-changer. From the moment I opened the sleek and stylish laptop, I was impressed. The M1 chip's performance is nothing short of remarkable. It's incredibly fast, handling multiple tasks with ease. Whether I'm browsing the web, editing photos, or even doing some light video editing, it never lags. The fanless design makes it near-silent, which is a welcome change from my previous laptop. The battery life is outstanding. I can go through a full workday without worrying about recharging, and that's a big plus for my on-the-go lifestyle. The instant wake-up and resume feature is also super convenient. The Retina display is stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp text. Watching movies or working on design projects is a joy. The keyboard feels comfortable and is a pleasure to type on. The build quality is exceptional, and the laptop is incredibly thin and lightweight. It's perfect for travel and carrying around. The Magic Keyboard and the larger trackpad are also nice improvements. As for software compatibility, the transition to Apple Silicon has been seamless. Most of the apps I use regularly have been optimized, and even when running non-optimized apps, the performance is impressive. In summary, the MacBook Air with the M1 chip is a fantastic laptop. It offers incredible performance, outstanding battery life, a beautiful display, and a sleek design. Whether you're a professional or a casual user, it's a brilliant choice. Apple has truly set a new standard in laptop performance with this one.

The best bang for your computer buck
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you don't need a ton of RAM or storage, the base model MacBook Air is the perfect computer for you! The processor is so fast and efficient. The computer never gets hot, there are no noisy fans, and the battery lasts forever! The screen is great (not MacBook Pro great, but good enough), and the keyboard and trackpad are both solid performers. The lack of ports is a concern for many, although there are a lot of great USB-C hubs out there that can give you all the ports you need for an extra $150-200 bucks. In fact, one of the ones I used allowed me to hook up 2 monitors with the lid closed, so that gave me almost everything I needed in a computer. I had my Air for 3 years and loved it to death. The main reason I got rid of it is that I started using videos when I DJ and when I used Pioneer Rekordbox, the screen would sometimes freeze up, so I moved to a M3 Pro MacBook Pro and love that machine as well.

||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great at first, daughter used for homeschool. It was also a Christmas present. Not even 9 months later and turned it on and lines going through screen vertical and horizontal. Took to apple store and they will not cover under year warranty. I have to pay $478 to fix!!! VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE, VERY UNPLEASED WITH APPLE NOT GUARANTEEING THEIR PRODUCT WHEN THE DAMAGE IS NOT ANY FAULT OF OURS

Macbook M1
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: * Impressive Performance: The Apple M1 chip continues to shine, offering remarkable speed and responsiveness in everyday tasks, from web browsing to content creation. Apps open in a snap, and multitasking is a breeze. * Silent and Cool Operation: The fanless design ensures your MacBook Air operates silently and remains cool even under moderate workloads, contributing to a comfortable and distraction-free user experience. * Excellent Battery Life: After 4 months of use, the MacBook Air still delivers exceptional battery life, easily lasting through a full day of work or entertainment without needing to recharge. * Sleek Design: The slim, lightweight design and Space Gray finish exude a premium look and feel. It's a stylish and portable companion for any setting. * Retina Display: The 13.3" Retina display continues to impress with sharp visuals and vibrant colors, making it enjoyable for both work and entertainment. * Rosetta 2 Compatibility: Most apps not natively designed for the M1 chip run seamlessly through Rosetta 2, so you won't face compatibility issues with your favorite software. Cons: * Limited RAM: The 8GB of RAM can be somewhat limiting for power users or those who run memory-intensive applications. Consider upgrading to 16GB if your work demands it. * Storage Space: The 256GB SSD might feel constrictive if you deal with large files or a substantial media library. Managing storage space and utilizing external drives may be necessary. * USB-C Ports Only: The MacBook Air offers only two USB-C ports, and you'll likely need dongles or a dock for connecting older USB-A devices, HDMI, or SD cards. It can be inconvenient for some users. * Non-Upgradeable: Just like its predecessors, this MacBook Air model has soldered components, which means you can't upgrade the RAM or storage after purchase. It's essential to choose the right configuration from the start. * Lack of Dedicated Graphics: While the integrated GPU is capable for most tasks, those needing high-end graphics for gaming or specialized work might find it lacking. * Price Tag: Apple's products have always been on the premium side, and this MacBook Air is no exception. The cost can be a barrier for budget-conscious buyers. In conclusion, the MacBook Air with the Apple M1 chip remains a strong choice for users seeking a powerful and portable laptop. After 4 months of use, it continues to impress with its performance and battery life. However, the limited RAM and storage, along with the reliance on USB-C ports, might not be suitable for everyone. Consider your specific needs and budget before making a purchase.

Disappointed customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4 weeks after buying the computer would not turn on. Took it to Apple Store and the tec was unsuccessful in turn on so I had to leave it for a week for further evaluation. Still waiting. Best Buy will no take it back after only 2 weeks which I find ridiculous when you spend so much money on a product

Beautiful And Amazing Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by stating that I am not an Apple fanboy. I have to use Apple products at work and did not like them. The new MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop with the Apple M1 chip has changed my mind where a laptop is concerned. The build quality of this laptop is amazing and beautiful. The exterior design with a satin-smooth finish and industrial look are very premium. The Space Grey color is gorgeous and does not show fingerprints. I am not great at typing, but this keyboard is a pleasure to type on with a decent amount of travel and a pleasant click to the keys. I can work on the laptop for hours without any issue. That said, the battery life of the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop lasts all day for me. I have only had a couple of times where I needed to attach the charger before I returned home. I do wish that there was a USB charging port on either side of the laptop but can live with it only being on the left side. I am not a power user, but from simple word processing to video editing this machine blows through any task that I have thrown at it. It has not gotten warm on my lap and cannot believe that it does not have a fan. No matter what I do it does not heat up and there is no noise from fans. Amazing! It truly is a pleasure to use this laptop. I tried connecting the laptop to the two external monitors I have, but it only works with one. I have not been able to find a way to make this work. I could see this being an issue for anyone wanting to use two monitors. You can use the laptop and an external, but that is not the same. If you like the Apple experience, this would be a no-brainer purchase. If you don't know if you would like an Apple laptop, I would suggest visiting a store and to try typing on one. I would recommend the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop with the M1 chip to anyone.

M1 is great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the 18' MB Pro, I was somewhat hesitate of "downgrading" to the MB Air; however, I realized I didn't really use the features the Pro was made for (ex: video editing, Touch Bar, etc). I did my research, and really wanted to see what this new M1 chip was all about. I'm glad I did! I traded in my Pro for this beast, and I haven't regretted it one bit. This Air is fast, and loads faster than my Pro did! The only thing I've noticed is the Air's speakers are not as loud as the Pro's but I'm already use to it. All in all, I'm happy I traded it in. The Air is lightweight so easy to carry to class, is not big so easily fits on tables, and the new battery life is amazing. I've had it unplugged and used it at my internship and all evening at home, and I'm still at 80%! All in all, Apple once again did amazing. Just a head's up: I did store pickup, and the M1 chip feature / any M1 wording is not on the box at all. I was worried I didn't get the M1 edition until I got home and powered it on.

Crap- broke inside the screen
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is horrible! I have an iMac, iPad and iPhone which are all great, but this….this is the worst apple product I’ve owned. I had the laptop next to me on the bed and my 2-year old was climbing up in the bed, so I went to shut my laptop to prevent her from breaking it, instead I broke it! I had my thumb on the front of the screen when I was closing it and I heard or felt (don’t recall) it break under the screen, I didn’t hardly apply any pressure to the screen! It blows my mind that the inside of my computer broke from a light touch! The outside of the screen looks fine, it’s the inside that is ruined. I had it for 11 days and they wouldn’t let me return it. What a joke of quality for $860!

MacBook Air M1
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MacBook Air m1 laptop in rose gold is a stunning device that combines beauty and power in a sleek and portable package. The m1 chip, Apple's first custom-made processor for Macs, delivers impressive performance and battery life, making the MacBook Air a great choice for students, professionals, and creatives alike. The MacBook Air m1 has a 13.3-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, which offers crisp and vivid visuals. The display also supports True Tone technology, which adjusts the color temperature according to the ambient light. The rose gold finish adds a touch of elegance and style to the laptop, and complements the black keyboard and trackpad. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, with a scissor mechanism that provides a satisfying click. The keyboard also features a Touch ID sensor, which allows you to unlock the laptop and make secure payments with your fingerprint. The trackpad is large and smooth, and supports multi-touch gestures for easy navigation. The m1 chip is the star of the show, as it enables the MacBook Air to run both legacy apps, m1-optimized apps, and iOS apps with ease. The m1 chip has an 8-core CPU and a 7-core or 8-core GPU, depending on the model, and can handle multiple tasks and intensive applications without breaking a sweat. The m1 chip also has a 16-core Neural Engine, which enhances machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities. The MacBook Air m1 has a fanless design, which means it is silent and cool even under heavy load. The MacBook Air m1 has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which support charging, data transfer, and external display output. The laptop also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Wi-Fi 6 wireless card, and a Bluetooth 5.0 module. The laptop does not have any other ports, such as USB-A, HDMI, or SD card slot, which may be a drawback for some users who need more connectivity options. The MacBook Air m1 has a 720p FaceTime HD camera, which is improved by the m1 chip's image signal processor. The camera produces sharper and brighter images, and works well in low-light conditions. The laptop also has a three-microphone array, which captures clear and natural sound. The laptop has stereo speakers, which deliver rich and balanced audio, with support for Dolby Atmos and spatial audio. The MacBook Air m1 runs on macOS Big Sur, the latest version of Apple's operating system. macOS Big Sur is a beautiful and intuitive OS, with a redesigned interface, new features, and enhanced security. macOS Big Sur also supports Universal apps, which are optimized for both Intel and m1 Macs, and iOS apps, which can be downloaded from the Mac App Store.
