Purchased brand-new on 22nd March 2023 which is exactly 1 year, 5 months & 10 days ago at the time of writing this review. Currently running macOS 14.6.1 with a battery health of 90% & around 50 charge cycles. All I have to say is this is the best laptop I have ever touched/owned/used in my entire lifetime. I especially love the Gold color it’s a real head turner every time I take this laptop out in public or in meetings. The performance of this beast of a machine is out of this world & it just blows everything else out of the water. Battery life is also pretty amazing. I just love the portability of this at 13.3” it’s the best size for a laptop, easy to carry around & fits perfectly into any backpack or carry case/sleeve. Speakers, mics, webcam & display are unbelievably great for what it is. Everything is just so smooth & snappy. I’m just so in love with this machine.

Not functioning would not let me complete set up. When I went to return it they where not nice and very unhelpful. The first young man was but the tech specialist and the young lady in charge where very nasty and not helpful. I returned it at the Desham MA store. I never want to go in there again. One comment was who even buys apple anymore. I do!

Before the M1 MacBook Air, I never before considered getting a Mac, because much better values were always available on the Windows side. That is no longer the case. In terms of speed, portability, build quality, and battery life, this is as good as or better a value than comparable higher tier Windows ultrabooks. Since you cannot expand DRAM or SSD, you need to make sure to get enough of both when you buy it. Compared to some other manufacturers, Apple makes you pay through the nose for every step up in memory or storage, so the favorable value proposition can disappear once you leave the base configuration of 8GB/256GB that I went with. Unless you are a power user and/or work with lots of big media files (audio, video, photos), this should be enough for most people. My impression after using my Mac for several weeks is that it seems to do better on 8GB of memory than my Windows laptop does. Thoughts regarding MacOS vs Windows: It doesn't matter much to me, and switching between them is not a big deal after a small learning curve. I don't consider myself having permanently switched to MacOS. I still use Windows and my next laptop might be Windows, Mac, Linux, or ChromeOS depending on what looks best at the time. Positives: * Great value * Excellent screen * Attractive device overall * Insane battery life * Powerful processor * No fan Neutral: * OK keyboard * Mediocre camera Negatives: * Cannot expand memory or storage * Only one free USB port when plugged into power * No SD card slot * I miss having a touchscreen

Owning a MacBook Air 13.3" laptop is like having a secret love affair with technology. It's whisper-thin, dangerously light, and makes you feel giddy every time you open it. It's the kind of laptop that makes you want to strut into Starbucks like you own the place, even if you're just there for the free Wi-Fi. And let's not forget about its battery life! It lasts longer than most relationships these days! But in all seriousness from its razor-thin design to its vibrant Retina display, every aspect screams sophistication. 100/10 would definitely recommend and for the price and financing with Best Buy you just can’t beat it.

The MacBook Air has always been a light and easily portable choice for Mac users. The “Late 2020” model is all that, but lighter, thinner, and even easier to use. Based on Apple’s new M1 CPU, this generation of Macs is very different from the prior generations of Intel-based computers. The M1 MacBook Air has 8GB of “shared memory,” but where that might be a limitation in an Intel Mac, it’s definitely more than enough for this machine! This MacBook Air model is fast, responsive, and really easy to use. It has only two ports: two USB4/Thunderbolt (USB-C) ports for charging and any peripherals you might need. We bought a USB-C hub to allow the use of a USB-3 external drive for Time Machine backups, watching movies with an external DVD drive and so on. Sure, you could do those things wirelessly (including watching digital versions of those movies), but we wanted to avoid wireless bandwidth bottlenecks. Finally, the MacBook/MacBook Air line has evolved from a plain aluminum case (gorgeous, but kind of bland nowadays) to aluminum or Space Gray, to finally adding a gold option. Since it’s my wife’s primary computer (and a late Christmas present), we went with gold. ;)

Big upgrade from MacBook Air 2015 to M1

I bought the M1 MacBook Air 256 GB/8GB in excellent condition open box and was FLAWLESS! Everything came in a fully new shape just like unboxing a new MacBook Air in a sealed package along with its charger and original manual with Apple stickers still. I checked the battery health and it was at a phenomenal 100%. The M1 chip is speedy and is very reliable. Even though the Airs design is a bit old it doesn't really matter as millions of people still use this machine but this can hold up pretty well. The battery is really good but it depends on the work, but it may drain fast if you do something heavy on it. I suggest using low-power mode if you plan to use it on the go for more than a day. The speakers sound like you're in a movie theater and the screen is pretty decently bright, way much better than my old 2015 MacBook Air in every way. And with it being much more portable than the previous Air I had. I highly recommend this to High School students like me and other people looking for a great "budget" Apple MacBook Air.

Apple always knows how to make a gorgeous and sleek product. This item is no exception. I am absolutely amazed at how fast it is, the lack of fan noise, and the responsiveness of the touchpad. No one makes a touchpad as well as Apple. This is a wonderful "light-duty" ultra portable laptop that will meet or exceed most individual's daily needs. If you are in the market for one, you will be more than happy with this purchase. It should be noted that I originally purchased the Rose Gold color, but that was a bit harsh on my eyes. The Space Grey is a much more neutral and desirable tone for me. Never any questions about the return - and in and out within a few moments. I will give credit where credit is due.

I had always had HP laptops. I have an iPad and iPhone and when looking for new laptop, after reading lots of reviews on tech sites and by customers, I decided to try this MacBook Air with the M1 chip. I am really glad I did. It is fast, works well with my HP printer. The track pad is so responsive and easy to use. I never liked using my old laptop much unless with a mouse, it was so hard to do anything on. I prefer this trackpad to a mouse. Keyboard is good, easy to use and lit up letters. There was a little learning curve switching to a Mac but I am loving it. I can't believe the difference in how long the charge lasts. With moderate use, it lasts for days, and charges up quickly. I also enjoy that it doesn't have the awful loud fan and doesn't get hot in my lap. I can't see ever going back to the other laptops again. I know people that got the pro because they have a business, etc. For me, for casual use and a little business related stuff, this one is awesome. I recommend!

This is such an amazing little laptop. I am coming from Windows 10 which is perfectly fine for desktop/laptop use but this latest update from Apple is hands down the biggest leap in computing I've seen. The battery life is beyond outstanding and is the most I have ever seen on a laptop. No fans and no heat when doing heavy tasks unlike my old Windows laptop which sounds like a jet taking off. User experience is amazing for a beginner to Mac OS (like me) and I have had no issues getting everything set up. The speed of this little laptop is by far better than anything I've ever used. No long loading times, no sluggish performance, instant on, etc. I'm not very tech savy in the Apple ecosystem but I can say that this little piece of hardware is an absolute game changer.

TL;DR Get it. It's great. I want to preface this with I bought this M1 MacBook to replace my 2012 MBP. It was a tank with many, many ports. It still stings that it finally died. My initial hesitance about this M1 MacBook is that it doesn't have nearly enough ports. I know, we're moving to a wireless world. But I really enjoy my ports. Despite not having enough ports I absolutely love this machine. It's beautiful. It's fast. The keyboard is wonderful. The color? UNBELIEVABLE. Frankly, the battery life is absurdly good. I've had this machine for almost a month and I have only had to charge it once. Granted I don't use it a ton, but it's still impressive. It's so light and easy to handle I can't believe I lugged my tank MBP around for so long. If you're looking to upgrade and are worried about missing your ports or it being too small/light, then you'll be pleasantly surprised. I genuinely don't miss my ports much and the dongles aren't nearly as much of a hassle as I anticipated. Switching to a lighter weight machine has been fine and I don't miss the heaft of my old MBP at all.

The Retina display, available in various resolutions depending on the model, offers excellent color accuracy, sharpness, and wide viewing angles, making it a delight for tasks such as photo and video editing. Under the hood, the MacBook Pro is powered by Intel Core processors or Apple's custom-designed M1 chip, depending on the model and release date. The M1 chip, specifically, has garnered praise for its impressive performance and energy efficiency. Coupled with ample RAM (ranging from 8GB to 64GB) and fast solid-state storage (starting from 256GB and going up to several terabytes), the MacBook Pro delivers snappy performance and seamless multitasking. The keyboard on the MacBook Pro features Apple's butterfly mechanism or the newer scissor mechanism, depending on the model. In summary, the Apple MacBook Pro is a top-tier laptop that excels in performance, design, and integration with the macOS ecosystem. Its premium build quality, powerful specifications, and excellent display make it a preferred choice for professionals and users seeking a high-end and reliable computing experience. As always, it's advisable to check for the latest specifications and user reviews to ensure the model you choose meets your specific requirements.
