Bought for highshool senior graduation to prepare for college. Easy to use , fast. I own a Mac pro and it runs pretty close to it. Good buy overall for future college student.

I am in love with my Mac purchase. The quality of the product exceeds my expectation. The battery life, speed, and screen quality is superb.

I don't tend to use Apple products outside of Apple TV and iPad Pros. I have had MacBooks provided by my employers in the past so I'm at least able to navigate MacOS OK, but I wanted something to really experiment with without worrying about ruining company equipment. I'm used to using heavier gaming laptops with larger screens, so this feels almost like a toy. It's incredibly light, has what I would consider insane battery life and is... fine. I've been looking around for apps or uses that Macs are outstanding at (and yes, I realize it's an Air and not a Pro) but so far the only application I've used where it noticeable outperforms any of my Windows laptops is with Ableton Live 11. There is no noticeable lag using my MIDI keyboards and controllers, where with my Windows laptops it's not possible to record live without turning off the speakers because the lag is so bad. The interoperability with my iPad Pro is pretty impressive. I haven't really dug into what's possible yet, but have used my iPad as a second display and the setup is simple and seamless. I'm still trying to dig into use cases for this MacBook vs my windows laptops and there aren't many. It's not capable of being a primary gaming system, though it can easily handle some of the less intensive Mac-compatible games I have on Steam. I may be using it as my primary music recording/producing system going forward, though. And it's so light and capable enough that I can easily see using this first when I go on vacation or just want a laptop with me to use at a cafe or wherever. I suspect my initial rating may change with more use and my limited experience with Macs in general makes it difficult for me to evaluate the M1 chip. Bottom line, I'd say if portability is your highest priority and you don't need high performance for gaming or intensive creative work, it's pretty decent. Though you could probably get by with a Windows laptop for half the price for general computing.

I keep trying the OSX envirnonment. The one thing that sends me back to MS? I am addicted to a touch screen. I tried for six months. I kept using my iPad or Windows 2 in 1. Finally took a bath and traded this in. Not because of it's OS, not because it was too fast. Not because the speakers were plenty good and loud. The screen was great, maybe a bit too bright for me at it's highest setting. Oh and the battery life. Come on man! 14 plus hours? Who needs that much battery life? I gave up all this, over a touch screen? Yup, pretty much. Apple has a problem with competition. They are a bit self hating. They wont put OSX on their new M1 iPad pro. So as not to eat away at their MacBook sales. They won't put a touch screen on their MB Air....well, you get the point. So, Surface Pro 8 with an i7 16 gig set up will have to do. If I could only recall where I put my screen cleaning cloth.

I dont have to charge it for days at a time and it works very quickly. Has been working perfect for online colleges I’ve been looking into. Love the color too

Just what I needed. It is user familiar as I had a previous MacBook Air. And I love the gold color because I can find it when working in large groups.

Great Laptop, I use it for working remotely and has enough power for most applications. I can’t comment on video editing as I don’t do that type of work. Long battery life, good portable size, easy to fit in any luggage or bag when traveling.

We love the power and the way this machine likes to please. Fast moving and it makes our work a breeze!! We definitely don’t consider it a chore working on anything we need to get done. I was put off a bit at first by the smaller keyboard real estate that it came with, but Ive soon grown used to being able to quickly get needed work done and it soon proved me wrong. This machine is a good looking piece of technology. Paramount Performance. Proud to have it out and about anywhere.

M1 chip with long lasting battery makes this a no brainer. If you can get it on sale it's an even better deal. I wouldn't consider myself a power user but this does everything I need it to. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fantastic laptop experience.

Remarkable improvement from intel. Sure, there are incompatibility issues but those will go away with time and aren't a big deal because of how well the air runs those apps in emulation. The battery, no noise and very little heat more than make up for the short term program compatibility issues.

I purchased this MacBook for my daughter to replace her current windows computer one month ago. She loves being able to sync it with her phone! Loves the rose gold color, and the sleek design! It's incredibly fast, doesn't overheat, and great for multi-tasking! So far, very satisfied!

he MacBook Air M1 is a remarkable laptop that exceeds expectations. Coming from a windows laptop with 512 this works remarkably fast with using the same programs. However, if you want to use 2 external monitors you will need to get a display port. Love that I am now able to seamlessly move from my iphone to that macbook air.
