Good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such a huge upgrade from our prior (2016?) model which got to be really loud trying to cool it off and horrible battery. This thing is light, excellent battery life and improved speaker setup

Cost effective entry to Apple environment
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Get this on sale and it's arguably the best deal to break into the Apple environment. Yes, the hard drive is small so if you can swing it get the next up (you cannot upgrade it yourself since everything is soldered to the board now, I mean go ahead and try there's just a high chance of failure). I bought this not for the processing power (it works great for what I need, no crazy graphical work) but because of the efficiency. The M1 chip is uncanny, I can do so much internet browsing / miscellaneous work and the battery just lasts forever. Charging it really does not take that long either, with charging it briefly still amounting to at least an hour of work. Yes, 8GB of RAM is not the best standard in this day and age but 8GB soldered to the board seems to be on par with 16GB of RAM in your basic Windows Machines! Price matched with MicroCenter (despite them telling me they do not do that at first) and got this for $850 -- an Apple laptop for that price I know will last.

Beautiful Mac Book Air
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful, more compact than my last Mac Book air. However, I’ve had it for one month or so and from time to time the screen will go black without turning on. It’s also out of the return period, sucky!

Windows not necessary!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace an aging windows laptop that has updates every week. The last straw was when it locked up on a very important app and the app would not work even after a reboot. Before I bought this laptop I have never owned an iPad or MacBook. It took less than 30 minutes to do the initial update, setup and install all my apps. My only problem is that a program like Parallels desktop is needed to run a couple of windows only programs and games. The battery life is great, good speakers, charges with my iPhone charger, it’s not heavy, has not crashed, good screen, nice aluminum body, etc etc.

MacBook Air M1 is a solid choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best laptop I've owned in the last several years since upgrading from an old Chromebook. Before that, I had a Powerbook G4 laptop which used to be top of the line. The M1 chip on the MacBook Air does the job well and is very stable as I use this for my daily email, browsing, digital photography and writing chores compared to my desktop for design work strictly. I highly recommend it due to its quick booting speed and OS stability, especially the battery life which is a huge improvement. If you're a photographer, video editor or graphic designer ( or similar in the creative industry ) relying only on a laptop and don't own a desktop, I recommend going with 16 GB of RAM on the safe side.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My very first MacBook and I am in love! So glad I finally invested. It's lightweight and faster than any Windows I've owned. I'm still getting the hang of things, but so far so good.

MacBook laptops are solid devices that last
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new laptop to upgrade from my 2014 MacBook pro. Hands down the best computer I’ve ever had and after 7 years of school and personal use it was starting to give me battery issues. But that was it, other than that I’m sure I could’ve gotten more years out of it but figured it was time to upgrade. This MacBook Air with the M1 processor is fast and sleek. I love how the space gray finish looks and I know I’ll get another 8 years out of this laptop. There’s a reason why these are priced higher than the others out there and that’s because you get a reliable device. The setup was smooth and the Ventura os is clean. I also bought the Microsoft office suite not M365 (I don’t need to pay the subscription IMO, I’m sure there’s value for others, just not for me). Excel and PowerPoint were the main two I needed and it was easy downloading those in and I got a discount when I bought it with the laptop purchase with Best Buy. Also the battery life is long - I’ve only charged it once and it’s lasted 4 days with roughly an hour use a day. If you are on the fence of buying this take my advice and do it. I bought this one over the M2 versions mainly because I didn’t want to spend more money if I didn’t have to and plus for what I needed it for I know the M1 is plenty.

Gets The Job DONE!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.M1 is no joke, love the middle of the road price point that I got it at, makes this Macbook is a great value if you are looking to upgrade to something recent. It’s snappy and quick at loading all of my graphic design programs. Yeah. All of them. At ONCE. Recommend if you’re interested in getting a recent MacBook for the new modern components but aren’t looking to break the bank
