Perfect for an average user wanting to stay in the Apple ecosystem. It is thin, light, beautiful, and a powerhouse. If you have average to slightly above-average needs for a laptop, this is the one to get.

Light, fast and responsive, doesn’t overheat and no fan mean no sound! Really enjoying the M1 chip!

I got my wife the previous gen MacBook Air and it's mind-boggling how much nicer this late 2020 edition is. The M1 chip is DEAD silent. The keyboard is one of the best I've felt on a Mac. The screen is stunning. Everything about the unit screams quality. The laptop is very fast too, boots up quickly and doesn't really struggle on any basic tasks. The downsides: only 2 USB C ports. Would have been nice to have one USB A port and even a MagSafe power adapter.

For a non-technical guy, this is all I need. Easy to handle, has enough storage so I don’t have to have photos in the ‘Cloud’. Clear visually. Have not noticed superior sound compared to the old Mac Pro, but I guess my ears are not as good to notice it? Quick but certainly not instant. Would upgrade to the 16” if I were to buy another. Bought an external hard drive for storage... more economical.

Best MacBook for college students, has performance, battery life and design is sleak.

If you are looking for something reliable, this is it! I work as an independent insurance agent and it gets the job done fast! I love it! Oh and the battery is GREAT lasts me a good 2 days before I have to charge again. (This is my experience since I use it only about 4 times a day)

Much much better than the last model. Battery sure last and like everyone YouTube saying it’s fast with the updates apps. There is some issues with connection but the latest update fix some. More updates is coming. This model I actually can edit videos in 4K fast. And in 1080p much faster. I’m happy with this base model. As for older apps. They do work and seem to run faster which is funny but I’m impress. The iPhone and iPad apps sure does work with small hiccups but again it actually runs faster also. Not all iPad and iPhone apps will run until the developers allow it too. Still waiting for Arlo and some to be allowed. But as of now. I’m happy with the purchase.

I have to say that the MacBook Air has exceeded my expectations so far. I never liked laptops, I always prefered a desktop a thousand times but for school and other ends a laptop was needed. It was time to upgrade my laptop since I was going back to school for in-person classes and I needed a laptop since the one I had was acting up after 6 years of service. I decided to give this non-Windows computer a shot and have not regret that decision. What I love the most about this computer is the battery life and the trackpad, the display is good too. I will say that if you own an iPhone you will love this computer.

First Apple laptop I bought. I am very impressed by what it can do and have so much learn. My previous laptop is Windows, but after using this MacBook Air I will never return to Windows again. It's so much easier to use and work. I can't believe I didn't give Apple laptops a try earlier. I use it for personal, work, etc. Also, I saved $200 on this laptop so how could I pass up on it? The only thing I have noticed thus far is the battery life is not as great as I expected. The same goes for my iPhone. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I guess its something Apple should take a close look at. Higher battery life.

I Love my MacBook. It‘a gorgeous. Very fast. The battery life is great and meets all my needs and then some. Would definitely recommend.

First, Bestbuy packaged and shipped the macbook very well (it was an open box). It had some dirty spots that cleaned up easily. Overall looked in excellent condition and warranty was nearly a year out that I confirmed with Apple was accurate. The air is an excellent Apple 'starter' notebook and it is silent (no fan) so feels like an ipad in that sense. Takes some time for those who arent familiar with mac os (it was for a family member) and I do wish apple would automatically offer them some basic practice or training for those migrating from windows to mac. i know it isnt very hard but for some it may be (from the missing page up, down, to screenshots, to how the file folder structure is different, the installation methodology). Still I personally think its a very good product. If there is one thing, and we all have heard this before, could we not have at least one USB A and HDMI/DP connection? Pain to lug around USB C dongles for everything. Oh well its the Apple price I guess, they know better.

Best battery life and good performance. Single threaded performance is very good and can go head to head with other laptops. Screen looks good and price is very good
