The MacBook Air 13.3" is everything I wanted in a laptop — sleek, fast, and incredibly reliable. It’s super lightweight, making it easy to carry around for work, school, or travel, but still powerful enough to handle multitasking with ease.

My 11 year old MacBook Air hadn’t died yet, but I was concerned about how difficult it might be to start all over on a new one… if I waited until it didn’t work anymore. I heard that it wasn’t as simple as an IOS devise (iPhone, iPad). I’ve had old phones completely die, and then get a new one and easily moved everything from iCloud. When I saw how cheap the new ones were ($899 on sale at Best Buy vs $1299 when I bought my last one 11 years ago) I decided it was time (actually, it was easy. The new mac walked me through transferring my preferences, apps, documents, etc. from the old Mac via a peer to peer on my home WI-FI).
I was sold on the flash storage on the old MacBook Air (vs the slower, but larger mechanical hard disks), but the larger flash storage combined with Apple’s new M1 chips are absolutely AMAZING! This thing is INSTANT ON!
The retina display is a great improvement too! Apparently, the new M1 chip runs so efficiently that the battery seems to last forever. Plus, they dissipate heat through metal to completely eliminate the need for a fan (I don’t miss the fan noise and the slowdown I used to get when the computer was doing a lot of work). They made the outside dimensions smaller without really changing much for the user. The screen size is the same 13” but has less metal around it. Somehow... it still seems strong. The trackpad is larger too.
I should try to find something negative to say as well. I miss the tradition “look” of the lighted logo, but I read that they removed it for good reason (but, that actually did more for Apple than for me).
There appears to be a problem with sharing high resolution YouTube videos on my Apple TV. It changes the resolution on my computer and shrinks everything… including the text and buttons down to the point that I have to go get a magnifying glass to see or read anything at all... and return the resolution to the normal usable setting. I'm pretty sure that there will be a software fix in a future update to address this issue.
Other than the Apple TV issue, almost everything about this MacBook Air is better… and by a LOT! It’s a heck of a deal!

Best Buy is great place to shop for electronics items I’ve been shopping for with Best Buy for last 5 years I love it every time i buy something great customer service.
I brought MacBook Air M1 long lasting battery life & charges quickly, great screen quality for any kind of content , the screen is amazing, Touch ID is useful in many ways like Apple Pay/signing in, the laptop is fairly light, keyboard is awesome (it does have a click sound when you type), the trackpad is better and more useful, and much more!
Great laptop and is great for college students like me!
Cons: THE PRICE lol, no Microsoft office installed(you need to buy separately, you GOT TO buy a sleeve or case since this is a scratch magnet, the speakers are not so great(bass is like fuzzy) , the camera quality is 2/5(blurry and just not great), and the ports(there are only 2 on the left side and on the right side, there is the headphone jack. It is kind of annoying that you have to use one side for charging. Other than that, it's very reliable, lasting, stylish, and overall a great buy for an upgrade or a new selection! This was my first apple MacBook and I primarily got it since I need a reliable laptop for college.

This is my first Mac after being a Windows user for life! It’s been a pretty seamless transition after the initial shock passes. Everything is so easy and I love how the whole ecosystem ties into my iPhone and other Apple products. MacBook has a super high quality build, powerful, fast, lightweight, great battery life, and stylish.
Scored an amazing deal thanks to Best Buy sale and student discount. I’m a happy shopper!

Never I have seen a MacBook behave in this crazy way! All of a sudden, my Mac Air just stopped working. There was a small pop sound and a bad smell from the system. Had to leave the house. it is not turning after. Worst ever performance from a Mac.

I have had this laptop for 2 years now and I can still say with total confidence that it's a good buy in 2023. This laptop will last the average person until 2030 if not longer. That's a ridiculous value for the total cost of ownership, so all that's left for you to decide is this: Is this laptop capable of doing everything you need it to do?
Even though it's 2 years old and the lowest spec'd and cheapest laptop Apple currently sells, I think for 99% of people the answer is YES! The M1 chip is up to some crazy witchcraft. That's the only way to explain how the battery lasts so long, how the computer is so fast, and how portable it is.
Don't worry about the 8GB memory, it's enough for almost everyone. Storage might be a different story. If you need more than 256GB, I highly recommend buying a portable SSD. It's way more cost effective than upgrading the internal storage.
Compared to Windows laptops that cost the same, this computer is remarkably premium. The display is excellent, the keyboard and trackpad are some of the best in any laptop ever, and even the speakers are pretty good. The all aluminum construction is very durable and looks great.
There are better laptops on the market but they all cost significantly more than this one. If you are not playing a lot of new video games and you don't need to use applications that only work on Windows, and you don't need a bigger screen (or a touchscreen), this is probably the right laptop for you.

Okay, so I've owned this laptop going on two years now and let me just say that it's been the best two years ever. Coming from an HP which was 15 inches, extremely heavy for toting around, and slow, this MacBook checks all of those issues off easily. I thought the 13 inch would be too small but it's perfect and Im never going back. Between it being lightweight, holding a long charge, and being very quick to responding, I have no complaints. With the new macOS Sonoma update it's just gotten even better and I hope to have it for years to come. Just a few things:
Firstly, it's extremely quiet. Again, coming from an HP that used to overheat and have an extremely loud fan, I forget that the MacBook is even actually on if I step away for a minute.
Secondly, the display is great! Between watching a YouTube video, being on FaceTime, or on zoom, this things looks amazing at all times.
Lastly, the features it comes with are awesome and make using the laptop even better. Being able to be connected to my phone, seeing messages, notes, reminders, etc is very useful.
Overall, I have no complaints and I highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a new one.

Beautiful And Amazing Laptop

Let me start by stating that I am not an Apple fanboy. I have to use Apple products at work and did not like them. The new MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop with the Apple M1 chip has changed my mind where a laptop is concerned.
The build quality of this laptop is amazing and beautiful. The exterior design with a satin-smooth finish and industrial look are very premium. The Space Grey color is gorgeous and does not show fingerprints.
I am not great at typing, but this keyboard is a pleasure to type on with a decent amount of travel and a pleasant click to the keys. I can work on the laptop for hours without any issue.
That said, the battery life of the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop lasts all day for me. I have only had a couple of times where I needed to attach the charger before I returned home. I do wish that there was a USB charging port on either side of the laptop but can live with it only being on the left side.
I am not a power user, but from simple word processing to video editing this machine blows through any task that I have thrown at it. It has not gotten warm on my lap and cannot believe that it does not have a fan. No matter what I do it does not heat up and there is no noise from fans. Amazing!
It truly is a pleasure to use this laptop.
I tried connecting the laptop to the two external monitors I have, but it only works with one. I have not been able to find a way to make this work. I could see this being an issue for anyone wanting to use two monitors. You can use the laptop and an external, but that is not the same.
If you like the Apple experience, this would be a no-brainer purchase.
If you don't know if you would like an Apple laptop, I would suggest visiting a store and to try typing on one.
I would recommend the MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop with the M1 chip to anyone.

I just replaced my 7-year-old MacBook Air, and I couldn't be happier. I got the rose gold one, and it is so pretty.
Pros: The battery is so much better than my previous Air. The speed is also greatly improved. And I love how lightweight it is. I also didn't notice it at first, but I recently realized there is no fan noise. Loving that!
Cons: The only cons, so far, are the ports. I knew they were different from my previous Air when I purchased it, but it is a bit of a downer.

I'll try to keep it short. Prepare for a thorough adoration rant. Leave now if you're not a fan lol.
This is the first computer I've ever owned that just plain works, Without fail. At all times. It's blazing fast. It's bug-free. A little light on memory but I just don't care. Love not needing cooling vents, the first laptop I know of that you can actually put on your lap and not worry about cooling issues. The magic keyboard is magic, the touch and feel is great. The backlight lets me use it outside without the porch light on so the bugs aren't as bad. No data connections but lightning (USB-C) but I don't care, I just buy adapters as I need them. I JUST LOVE that it has a 4.5 mm headphone jack. That rocks for FaceTime or music or privacy. It does everything I need to do, everywhere I need to do it. I love the silver color, it keeps the device cooler in the sun than the space gray option. I don't like gaming but I would like to see how it performs with that just to see if it's possible to really challenge the processor. If it runs out of memory I'll just buy some external memory I guess. I will never buy a PC again even if my life depends on it. It breezes through programs that aren't optimized for macOS Big Sur, which is good because it's new enough that developers haven't adapted to it lots yet. This little dude is an electronic warrior. Get this computer if you just like to get stuff done without drama. Opt for the bigger memory if you're really worried about it. I've had mine for over four months and 256G hasn't been an issue so far. Oh, battery life is amazing. I can power surf or stream or do classwork or word process all day and still have a good amount of juice left over. Save your pennies for however long you need to and get yourself an Apple Silicon computer. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. My experience, my opinion. Thanks for your valuable time. And thank you, Apple.

Not functioning would not let me complete set up. When I went to return it they where not nice and very unhelpful. The MacBook Air is a perfect light computing device. The battery lasts for days, the CPU never gets hot, there's no fan so it is silent, the display is one of the best you can buy, the keyboard is one of the best laptop keyboards, and the performance is amazing.
A note about performance. I have a couple computers: the entry level MacBook Air -- 8 GB of RAM and the 256 GB SSD and a desktop with a Ryzen 5900X and 64 GB of RAM with a 1 TB NVMe drive with a 2000 MB/s write speed. That is not as fast as the SSD in the MacBook Air but it's not slow. For 3D printing, I use PrusaSlicer. On the Mac, a relatively simple but large model took 2.3 seconds to slice. On my Ryzen 5900X, it took 3.1 seconds. That's not a huge difference but the Ryzen processor costs nearly as much as I paid for the MacBook Air. I only got the MacBook Air to use for mostly light tasks but the fact that it performs well above its entry-level class is a huge bonus.
This entry level computer can, in many tasks, keep up and even surpass high-end processors. Now, there are many things I can do faster with the Ryzen 9 (e.g., something that can make use of all 24 threads) but with this an entry-level laptop, Apple hit a home run. I'm never going back to Windows-based laptops.

The MacBook Air M1 is a standout laptop with exceptional performance, thanks to the M1 chip. It’s fast, efficient, and handles tasks from browsing to video editing effortlessly. The battery life is outstanding, lasting up to 18 hours, and the Retina display is vibrant and crisp. Its lightweight, fanless design makes it perfect for portability. While not the cheapest option, its quality and performance make it worth the price. Ideal for students, professionals, or casual users. Highly recommended!

Last year I bought an iPad Pro for photo editing with my mirrorless sony camera, but I found me wanting more in the operating system department as I also use it as a bed computer and have had a Macbook Pro 15 inch from 2015 that recently bit the dust so I was wanting to have the MacOS experience back. Recently I also bought a DJI Air 2S, and the iPad Pro was absolutely fine for the job, but I wanted faster. This thing absolutely does what I need it to do, and with no sweat or worry either!
Not only that, battery life is incredible, I have a Alienware laptop with a 3070 in it and it only lasts maybe an hour off the plug doing basic tasks, while this can easily last me 14-15 hours on a single charge off the wall. This thing is also stupid fast, my gaming desktop with a i7 and 3090 will take longer to load up applications than this will. Obviously though, if you're looking for something to game with, this can't compete. It will outrank anything with integrated graphics however.
This thing is incredible, and for 749 you really cant go wrong with it if you're in the market for a completely silent and fast laptop of this caliber.
Only thing is storage size, 256gb nowadays is pretty paltry but I have a couple terabytes in external NVMEs that I can utilize if need be, and my other machines have tons of storage that I can transfer the files to, so my use case is fine with 256gb. You'll also be perfectly fine with 256gb if all you do is web browse/email/edit a few things here and there or have lots of disposable storage like I do

This is my go to laptop when I travel. It is light, super fast, 10 hours battery life, and it just works (Mac). The keyboard is a joy to type on, and I didn't realize the M1 allows almost instant on. I turn to my Mac more than my iPad Pro, even to watch things. I would rather get the Air than the M1 pro, because fanless.

This laptop is pretty cool. there's a noticeable difference in the speed between my Samsung Chromebook with an i3 intel core vs this M1 chip. The retina display is vivid and reallyyyyy good quality. The Samsung has a specific screen for security reasons, so that when you tilt your screen backwards, people on either side of you can't see your screen. This laptop's (not Chromebook) multitasking is superb. able to handle many** different functions AT ONCE, which is important for me since I'm constantly switching through tabs and tasks. The connectivity(to a server), response to tap/click-time, display, SPEAKERS(amazing, for some reason Samsung thought it was smart to put speakers on the bottom part of the laptop) !! The only thing I wish I could change is the size of the laptop. It's really small compared to my other laptop, which was about 16 inches. it had more than enough space for my wrists to rest while I types. The force click touchpad is outdated apple :p sensory click is the new in. If this MacBook had a Touch Bar I'd be even more in love with it. I'm happy I got this, the backlit keyboard is helpful at night when you don't want to turn the lights on. overall extremely satisfied. Only thing that sucks is almost every app costs money, unlike the iPhone. Cool learning tools made specifically for Mac . :) the slate style is nice and minimalistic, sleek, business-like. It's cool that it's really light. so tiny you could lose it :p

I've had a Macbook Pro since 2009 and finally decided to upgrade since the old one is now only really capable of accessing email and files. I love this new model! The sleek design is great. I wish it had a real USB port but I bought an adapter that I haven't even needed to use yet. It's fast, quiet, the battery lasts forever, the sound quality is excellent.

Owning a MacBook Air 13.3" laptop is like having a secret love affair with technology. It's whisper-thin, dangerously light, and makes you feel giddy every time you open it. It's the kind of laptop that makes you want to strut into Starbucks like you own the place, even if you're just there for the free Wi-Fi. And let's not forget about its battery life! It lasts longer than most relationships these days! But in all seriousness from its razor-thin design to its vibrant Retina display, every aspect screams sophistication. 100/10 would definitely recommend and for the price and financing with Best Buy you just can’t beat it.
