Not just an excellent small laptop, but an excellent computer in general. This doesn't look that strong on paper, 8gb of ram, some processor made by apple and 256gb of storage. This thing is lightyears ahead of anything in it's price range. I sold my mid 2015 macbook pro 15 for this and it straight dusts my old mac in every situation. The screen has accurate color which is nice for photo editing, it's faster than you can imagine and the battery life is no lie. The only meaningful difference between this and the macbook pro 13 with the M1 chip is the cooling fan for the GPU and CPU. In sustained loads the macbook pro will do you better due to the fan. It keeps the CPU cooler and that allows it to keep its sustained boost clock through the duration of the project. So if you're exporting 4k video a lot go with the macbook pro, it'll save you time. If you only do that once in a while save some money and go with this. For what it's worth a monster of a gaming pc, and I still think this thing is fast, it really is impressive to say the least.

Battery drains in 2-3 hours if working with 6-7 tabs at the same time.

Would of liked my last one to of lasted more then 18 months before it stopped working

Amazing laptop, granted im writing this review 3 years after I bought it. The macbook air m1 is lightyears ahead of any previous macbook. Granted there is now a m2 and m3 version, they are only small increments better than m1. If you have an intel based macbook switching to this m1 will be like driving an old pento and getting a new car. Huge difference... The m1 processor is amazing and everything has worked flawlessly for 3 years.

This laptop is nothing short of amazing. I just purchased a near top-of-the-line Windows machine last year and already it is nearly too slow to use and is constantly crashing. With me starting college this Fall, I knew I needed a solution. In comes the M1 MacBook Air. I am absolutely blown away at what this little thing can do. Editing and rendering 4K60 videos on it is no problem at all. I have the base model (8GB RAM, 256gb SSD, etc etc.) It runs circles around that Windows machine all day long. The battery life is amazing, too, getting around 16 hours of life while doing some word processing and emails throughout the day. All in all, I highly recommend this product if you are wanting a Macintosh that won't break the bank but will still deliver in performance and reliability. This is a very affordable way to enter into the Apple Ecosystem.
