This is a fantastic computer for a beginning user or a child. For a pro perhaps this could be a second laptop for travel or simply going online. It’s sleek compact and well engineered for what it is. Apple’s latest IOS keeps with their tried and true philosophy, so it should not shock anyone. It also should not be a shock that their are only 2 ports which took away a star.

We upgraded from a 2015 MacBook Air, and couldn’t be more blown away. We love the size, and the speed is phenomenal. We haven’t skipped a beat since we got this machine.

The new Mac is great, the M1 chip makes it a worth upgrade if you had any of their prior models. The battery life lasts me days before I need to recharge, and that is with daily uses of 3-4hrs.

Great MacBook air just the job done for that price works great keys light up, the screen shows perfect one of my best investments great for school work or business size is compacted!

Due to a 3 year work assignment that required traveling, I needed a laptop to carry with me. I'm already a fan of MAC's, having a MAC mini and 2 iPad Airs. So this purchase was a no-brainer for me. As I've come to expect from Apple, this laptop delivers for what I need. Fast processor and wi-fi connectivity. Reminder: if you need to connect peripherals, you'll have to buy an adapter from Apple, at $19.00 on the Apple store.

The computer is definitely an upgrade from my Early 2014 Macbook Air and my temporary replacement, the Samsung Galaxy Book S. The M1 chip is snappy and able to handle any task you would encounter. For a couple of weeks I was debating on whether to get the pro or the air. What ultimately led me to the air was that it handles all tasks the pro can, such as photo editing and programming, since they have practically the same internals (minus one gpu core and a cooling system). I also chose the 256 gb Macbook because of my access to unlimited storage through my university and plan to edit and store my photos and videos on an external storage device.

The MacBook Air is actually a solid contender in the Mac line up. But also the fingerprint reader as the power button is intriguing within itself. But it always automatically starts right after you shutdown the computer. That is amazing. No need to push the power button. It just wakes by itself when ready.

Perfect for those that use a laptop for everyday use. I use it for work and to make big purchases. I was a Windows person before and after going to Mac I have been blown. They’re just so much faster and secure.

I never thought I could buy a MacBook Air with the M1 chip for less than $1,000. I knew, however, if I checked the Best Buy website every day, I would have the best chance to catch the best price available from a trusted store. Every expectation I had for the MacBook Air was met and every expectation of quality of service and expected knowledge by the store staff was also top notch.

Very Similar! The main differences that I can see are that you have more USB ports on the Pro, and you are able to run the pro without the processor throttling down to a slower speed because of thermal issues. Basically, the Pro has a Fan, the Air doesn't. I bought the Air with 8gb, however ive decided to return it for a Pro with 16gb. I thought 8 would be enough, but it turns out After Effects needs a lot of ram.
