Not what I expected

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told that this Mac Book Air with the M1 chip was similar to the 2018 MacBook Pro Interl I5; however, I had to exchange it after a few hours of usage. The Air is mainly designed for very simple web searching and emails. Although, I do not do any photo or video editing, I do surf the web and have multiple tabs open, I like switching to emails, attachments and listen to music. When you do all these things the computer slows down, which is considerably noticeable. Switching to the MacBook Pro M1 was a totally different experience. The computer runs buttery smooth, the keyboard is amazing, the camera is top notch, but I am overall impressed with the performance. It was totally worth spending the extra money to upgrade. However, if you are going to do simple web searches and emails, the Air is good enough, but would not recommend as a work laptop or if you are a person that has many programs open. The 8GH memory is just not enough, you need 16GH that the Pro offers in order to have a smooth experience.

Lightening fast with out the lightening port!

This is my favorite computer that I’ve ever owned it’s sleek and very light weight. Best Buy is a great place to buy electronics! I get most of my electronics from here and I’ve never had any issues!

She told me thank God she could lie down while binge-watching her favorite drama. The sound system is good and it is lightweight you can carry it everywhere.

New Mac!

I completely broke my old Mac and Best Buy just so happened to be running a deal on the upgraded model came same day I got myself a new computer with ease. Everyone at the store had a great attitude and I love my new computer. It runs so much smoother than the one I had before (which was still a great product)

First Mac

Figured it was time to invest in a new laptop so why not a Mac since all my other devices are Apple. Thought the transition from PC to Mac would be difficult, but so far so good. Still getting used to the different commands, but I knew it would take me a bit. Overall, happy with my purchase!

Not very useful with other devices without USB-C

It really limits the devices you use it with and the printers you can connect unless you buy adapters for all your devices. It would be better with an adapter already included for ease of use or at least more than just one port. Stunning display and fast hardware but just not a great transition.

Best for the money?

Its not really built for games...but for the every day...I use it for work, home and creative stuff (music, video, photo editing) and its blazing fast. Sure the m2 is faster, but this is my second M1 macbook and it has never had an issue with anything I've ever asked it to do. highly recommend.

I love how light and easy it is to carry every where with me. I love the features in the lap top and it’s very useful for my school work. I have no problems uploading homework or any glitches.
