    M1 Is No Joke

Unbelievable speed. M1’s performance is as of right now incomparable in the light laptop market. Design is slick and solid as usual, and the keyboard has good travel and responsiveness. MacOS and M1 maximize RAM performance so for college 8gb is sufficient for those not in engineering or graphic design.

This is a fantastic computer! It’s small enough to take anywhere and super light. The screen resolution is great! The processor is quick and runs beautifully. I bought this after years of windows computers giving me fits. I like that I don’t have to charge it often to use it when I need to once in a while.

I love this computer! I am an online grad student and enjoy photography and this computer is able to do it all! It has so much storage to hold all my school material and all photography tools; Lightroom, photoshop, etc. and yet is so fast! I love that I am able to answer calls, text, and even FaceTime off it too.

I purchased the the 256 gig MB air, then saw the new iPad Pro 12 inch and thought, maybe this will be more exciting. Traded in my 11 inch pro towards the 12, added the magic keyboard, and wasn't excited enough to justify the added cost, bulk etc. So, back to BB I went and picked up, on sale the 512 gig MB Air. Lighter and more options. Have plenty of other tough screen devices, so, don't miss the iPad as much as I thought I would. The screen on the Air is almost as good. Better for widescreen movies. Over all, lighter and thinner. The money I saved, went towards the crazy over priced AirPods Max headphones. Which I absolutely love! This laptop is plenty fast and has unbelievable battery life, even at max brightness. If you don't need the touch bar? LOL, the MB Air will no doubt be enough for you.

I upgraded from a late 2013 MacBook Pro that was finally on its last legs. Despite having half the ram the M1 MacBook Air has beat the old machine at almost everything that would constitute normal office/photoshop type work (granted the sheer generational difference in processor/memory is the bigger reason). I don’t care for the lack of ports but for the value it’s an easy enough work around to buy a usb c hub or dongle.

We are very happy with our latest MacBook Air. It is much faster than our older one, and it has a ton more storage this time around, as the old one’s memory filled up quickly with the non-stop IOS updates sent by Apple. Looking forward to many years of use with this device.

Wanted to get my hands on an M1 chip MacBook and just couldn't wait for the newer MB Pros so I went with this Air! Strong performance at a GREAT price. Still can't get over the super long battery life. At this price point it is also excellent for administrative positions or students!

The Once and Future King of laptops. Believe the rave reviews, you won’t be disappointed. How can it be this powerful, fast and quiet and also long-lasting? The M1 chip ARM technology is the next generation , ride the wave, enjoy the experience. Construction durability and ergonomics are first rate, as expected.

MacBook Air - Apple M1 chip

I've used Apple products since the late 80s, so I'm "that person", and I'm wired to love whatever they put out, lol. I was upgrading an earlier gen MacBook Air, which is still functioning well, but I needed more power b/c of the shift to working remotely. Everything you've read about the improvement with the Apple M1 chip is true. This is an incredible piece of technology. I know Apple upgrades/updates and does annoying things like removing ports or headphones or the home key ... but this upgrade is a real upgrade, and if you're shopping for a new laptop, this one is incredible.

Was contemplating buying the M1 MacBook Pro to upgrade from my previous Pro from 2017 but it was out of my budget at the time. I have no regrets! So fast that you can barely blink before apps and webpages load. 10/10 would recommend for those stepping into the Mac world!

I had a 2015 MacBook Air but needed more operating capabilities. I am pleased with my new smaller slimmer version which has great updated features and lots more storage. Be sure to take the quiz offered by Best Buy which helps determine which Mac is best for your needs.

It's hard not to recommend this laptop to anybody. I use this machine and an HP Z640 with 2 XEON processors with 28 total cores. Honestly for everyday tasks such as browsing the web, email etc. this thing feels so much faster. Battery life is extremely good as well. Buy it you won't be disappointed.

I’ve had many computers over the years but something about apple products just cannot compare to other brands most of the time. Not to mention the people who helped me in the store were absolutely amazing and very kind, it’s a late review for sure but I still mean everything I’ve said!

Battery life... and no fan. Yes performance is great and on par with the i5 MacBooks but the extraordinary battery life is great. Was a gift to my wife, and she's thrilled at ability of this laptop to go without charging. Having no fan takes some used to, as it's completely silent :)

This MAC book was everything we needed. Perfect size, the sound (for playing movies) is outstanding and light weight for portability. We decided to go to a lap top rather than upgrade to a new IMAC for now. Our IMAC works fine, but so old that Turbotax can no longer run on it. The laptop is perfect.

My new MacBook Air is so easy to keep with me when I'm on the go. It is so light way and easy to tuck away. Then when I need it, it is so fast. The display is bright, crisp and clear. I've no issues with it at all. I would/will buy another when the time comes.

So far so good. I haven't had any issues with any existing software not working with the new M1 chip. I do wish I could add more storage and ram should I want to later. Unless Apple ever goes back to allowing that to happen, which is unlikely, be sure to plan for the future now when it comes to drive size and memory. That's the only reason for my 4 star rating instead of 5. Of course, you can always add an external drive for more storage. But make sure you have enough ram when you buy the computer. Other than that, it is a terrific laptop.

As soon as I opened the box and first saw it, I knew I was in for a treat. The build quality is simply unmatched, and the ease of use of this machine is such a treat. Combined with the speed that the M1 puts out, your search is over. Pick one up, you’ll be glad you did!

I have never owned anything other than an iPad/iPhone. I am hardcore PC. However when I don’t want to use one of my desktops, nor lug my 17” Alienware around I though the MacBook Air would be the perfect bed surfing solution. I took it to work, and watched Netflix in between customers, and after 4 hours of streaming (with several pauses for customers but on the entire time) the battery only dropped to 90%. It lasted an entire 12 hour shift with only using 10% of the battery. It has a great display. The retina displays are beautiful. I love the aesthetics of Apple products. Since I’ve never used Mac before it was a small learning curve. I’m sure there are power users that know every shortcut, but even with zero experience I was able to easily navigate the new MacBook Air. I do wish it had one of those things that allow you to connect it to a cable lock since it is so light and small it’d be very easy to just grab it and go. That aside I am very happy with the purchase.
