LOVE IT! Light, Great Battery, Fanless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The extra SSD space is a must-have. Especially if you have a lot of documents and files (even if you use iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc). 8Gb of memory is more than enough for most uses, but storage really is a necessity. Especially if you want music or video offline for when you travel. I do think the MacBook Air is better than the Pro for most users. You get great battery life, no fan, and the best portability in a laptop.

Ideal for a College Student
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MacBook Air was the way to go for us since the HDD/SSD storage is not upgradeable later and we just wanted more onboard storage. Coming from an older MacBookPro we found this an easy computer to move into and it is already performing well. With one of those USB-C adapters, we can connect regular USB, HDMI, and other accessories. If you don't need the touch bar feature, there isn't much need for a MacBookPro if portability is a priority.

Wow
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best laptop value around. Unbelievable performance. Have a ton of computers, but for the price this cannot be beat. Battery life and speed has no rival. And yes PC it is faster than 90% of Laptops out there…Apples claim was actual computers in the wild. Being that most Windows laptop PCs are not high end gaming machines and run of the mill sub 1000 buck integrated graphics ones. The M1 Apples can easily make this claim stand. Love it!

Awesome laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not be happier with this laptop. It is quick, user friendly (this is my first Mac and I have had no trouble figuring it out), full of great features, and all around awesome. The display is beautiful. I have already used it to make a photo calendar, and it was quicker and simpler than with my pc. I love watching show on it. The display and sound are great. Highly recommend. I understand why people love their Macs so much.

The best investment for a college student
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The M1 Macbooks were my first step into the Mac ecosystem, and the laptop itself is easily the best I've used. The speed of the computer is unreal and makes me forget that it only has 8 GB of RAM. The experience of this laptop has been extremely convenient and easy to switch over to from prior laptops. The only issue (and it is a big one) is that download speeds can be extremely long. I'm not sure if this is an issue with just mine, but documents and assignments take much longer to download in comparison to even my phone. I have yet to test it with an ethernet cable, but long download times are something you may need to be wary of when buying this laptop. Other than that issue, however, the laptop has been extremely light and capable, and it fits all the needs to help me be productive in college.

Actually pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This macbook is very nice to use. I primarily use it to program Rust with vs code and I use my ipad as a second screen. I did a quick speed test against my 5950X and in single thread tasks, it is a bit quicker. I did manage to lag it out once. I had a youtube running while installing xcode and running a python program in the background. Overall I would say this is a great laptop! It doesn't get hot like my old razer.

Line and light power house
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Switched over to this for the power and battery life. Was not disappointed. Been using Windows devices for years and was not a big fan of Apple devices. The M1 change over made me re-think that decision. This thing has been absolutely amazing. The reason I like this over a Windows device for myself is that being plugged in or not has no baring on the power the device is capable of. I can easily get 16+ hours between charges of constant use. And one day during heavy video conversions I was able to log faster completion times than I was able to do with my gaming laptop. All while using only 60% of the battery over 4 hours. Very happy with the product and recommend it to everyone debating making the switch.

MacBook Air 13.3" Laptop Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My new MacBook Air 13.3' Laptop is great! I upgraded from a 2014. First, I absolutely love the Touch ID!!!! It safes so much time! Secondly, the security that this MacAir provides was huge in my decision to upgrade & purchase. Lastly, the Retina display, the longer battery, the quick keyboard response & ease of transport played also in my decision to purchase. AND Best Buy has always been a great place to shop!

Awesome little unit.
||Posted . Silent and cool in use which differs from my past experience with older models. The limited # of usb and no SS card is a limitation forthcoming apple MacBooks will address. I use a dongle when I am using multiple I/o for example scanning photos to an external drive. Delivery from best buy was straightforward and easy. Props to them.

Excellent notebook option w/power and battery life
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These first generation MacBook Air machines using Apple Silicon (M1) are an incredible option. These machines are fanless yet they never seem to get warm and the battery life if outstanding. I used this machine to edit 1080p video in Final Cut Pro and you would not believe the performance when compared to my 2020 MacBook Pro with an Intel processor (16gb/512gb) which cost nearly double this price.

Change from my Macbookpros
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a longtime committed Apple customer. This review will probably be most useful for older customers. I've just purchased this macbook so am still getting used to it. This is a very light macbook air. That's probably its best feature as far as I'm concerned. I've owned macbook pros in the past so it's nice to have such a light machine. But for someone with aging eyes I find it more difficult to read information quickly on this mac because there's a lot of information crowding a small space. Fonts and icons are necessarily very small. I realize there are ways to deal with this but it's worth acknowledging this reality. I miss the space of the macbook pro screen. Also significant for me is the fact that there are only a few ports on the computer body itself--for power cord and earphones. There's an additional port that allows connection with a "hyperdrive" (sold separately) that provides usb and several other ports. If I were working at a desk this wouldn't be a negative, but since I work on my lap, that means that the laptop has a series of additional cords and drives, etc, dangling off it--a bit like a patient on life support. I do love the screensaver. And once I get over the learning curve I expect I'll be fine with this machine. I would certainly recommend that a friend consider buying it if they don't mind the issues mentioned above.

Great MacBook Air and great purchasing experience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple MacBook Air 2020, works perfect as expected from Apple products. It’s a big upgrade from the 2013 model and easy to appreciate the benefits (speed, storage, etc). The Best Buy experience to purchase device online, open a credit account to pay with special 18 month offer, and the delivery before Christmas, was all worry-free and very simple.
