Nice computer but software not as easy to use as other brands

I owned the laptop for less than 3 weeks and the screen has black vertical lines. Not only is the screen a problem, the keyboard sticks. I brought it back to the store to Geek Squad expecting a new computer and it was sent to Apple for their decision if Apple will reimburse with Apple credit or refurb the laptop. IT IS LESS THAN 4 WEEKS OLD! Not a happy purchaser.

I tried this MacBook Air but did not understand any of the programs, so I went with a HP Pavilion Aio - DOO14 -27-17 to pick it up on January 20, 2021 once my Dell have been input all of my information including my Microsoft 365 and Quicken. Thanks for everything!! Diana Miller

Good quality performance not easy to use need a manual

They simply use marketing gimmicks to try and convince consumers that their product is actually quality. I did not buy this for me. It was for someone who likes apple. All the typical apple problems.

This has been the best computer. It’s been used for high school and college classes. It remains fast and works when other computers in my daughter’s class didn’t. The battery lasts so long making it extremely convenient and reliable.

I returned this product. Talking with the salesperson, I thought I had made it clear that I was looking for the M1 chip and didn't take time to look at the box. I started using it and realized it was not. BestBuy allowed me to return it. I then purchased this, feeling I would be satisfied for the price. It was apparently an open box deal and apparently was a BAD product. I could not get it to work properly. It may have saved me the difference in the price I paid for the MacBook Pro I have since purchase and am content.

I have had mine for a month or two now, and the M1 chip really seems to have some power (although I would not recommend it for gamers or power users). I have not had any problems with overheating. The machine is beautifully made and feels fantastic, even the redesigned scissor keyboard (I had been very worried after the butterfly keyboard, but the scissor keyboard feels fantastic and works great. It does not feel cheap and uneven like the butterfly keyboard on the previous smaller macbook airs). Its weight is balanced beautifully (great relief after my 2016 11" macbook air A1465, whose uneven weight and wonky hinges I never got used to) It is a joy to work on, and the 8 GB RAM has not been a problem yet (although I suspect that it will be down the line). One caveat: They have a great deal going on the 256 GB drive but I highly, highly recommend getting at least 512 GB. 256 GB is just too small for the flurries of Mac OS and app updates.

This review is for Best Buy and not the product it’s self! Bought the MacBook as a gift and choose to do so at Best Buy rather than directly from Apple. I did this because I wanted to remain as an elite club member. I was really disappointed to find out after the fact that Apple products are excluded from their rewards program. I even mentioned to the representative that I was purchasing from BB and they didn’t say anything about it not qualifying! I am in the process of buying an iPad but will buy it elsewhere because of this!

Came with OS 11.1. Attempted to upgrade to 11.2.1. After spending two days trying, and several calls to Apple tech support, the machine locked up tight. Returned the machine to BestBuy where is accepted without trouble. They had an intel machine in stock and quickly brought it out for me.

Looks good but having a lot of trouble getting it to process the Apple ID creation continues to pause then fail

Not happy at all with this due to the unavailability of so many common apps that I used only other apple products.

Apples First M1 Processor is a flop. Get a newer mac book and you’ll be better off.

The return policy is not good. Only 14 or 15 days. I purchased laptop bag & the strap unraveled now cannot wear over shoulder due to area not sewed well. The visual of area shows how sewed defect compared to the other strap. I went to the store to swap out and was not able to after 14 days I was told to go through manufacture. Very inconvenient!

I love buying at Best Buy. I have been doing it for years. love my Mac and I do not have any issues with the product. However I will never buy Mac product at BestBuy again. Simply because Mac products are excluded from rewards. I received 0 points from this purchase. And that fact alone is enough to discourage me from purchasing again.

The salesman sold me instead for the one I wanted and tricked me into buying this one

New iPhone 12 doesn’t work. Spotty reception (Verizon). News won’t refresh. Slow operation. Paid for the phone outright but can’t get Verizon to unlock so that i can get a differ carrier. Have literally spent hours on the phone (when it doesn’t drop the call) with both Verizon and Apple tech support.
