I purchased Totaltech so I called the Geek Squad number, was connected to persons in India who were absolutely no help after 5 hours with them. They wanted me to pay to have a technician come to my home even though I had already paid for Totaltech. So their only function was to try to con me out of more money for tech support. Completely unacceptable. Taking it to the Geek Squad where I purchased it involved over a week because I had to make an appointment to drop it off and another appointment to pick it up. Even though it was "fixed" it still took an hour for the tech to get the Mac up and running. But at least I didn't have to pay money for that service, just inconvenience of being without a computer for almost a week.
