I’ve previously owned two other MacBooks, a MacBook Pro and a regular MacBook and this MacBook air is by far my favorite, it’s light weight and super fast. Plus, the battery life is amazing.

Compared to my previous Mac Air, this new model is a trim, compact beauty with increased speed, battery life, and storage. The only downside is that I had to get an adapter for USB port, which I need for outside devices (like earphones and external hard drive) and video connections.

M1 Chip Is A Game Changer. Runs Quick & Quiet.

Great laptop. It's light, runs quick and quiet. The M1 chip on the Air is a game changer. I was worried the 8gb memory wouldn't be sufficient but I edited a video and it was seamless. No lag time. Runs quick with multiple windows up at the same time. The stereo effect on the speakers is also great. I kept thinking someone was in the room when watching online TV. It was the great sound coming out of the speakers. Battery life is also great. Was debating on the Air or the MacBook Pro 14" with 16gb memory and 1tb hard drive. Glad I bought this one.

Bought an open box and the condition was as good as new. This laptop is perfect for anyone accomplishing work or for leisure. Fast, simple, and beautiful is what comes to mind. Which every piece and material was manifested from during its craft. It may not be the cheapest (~ $1000) but it is worth every cent.

I bought this computer for my daughter, who attends a college in which textbooks are provided electronically. The school is an "Apple" school, but she had never used Apple products before. This Macbook makes her life so much easier, and she says that she has been able to convert from a PC to a Mac much quicker than she thought she would be able to. Some of the features she really likes are the thinness and lightness of this Mac and how quickly everything loads on it. One thing she really misses from her other laptop is the touch screen capability, which Macs do not have.

I've been a lifelong PC user and also have become an Apple nut, having an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Apple Watch at one point or another in the last eleven years. I've used Macs before and I hated them, especially trying to learn MacOS and in general navigating with them. The MacBook Air M1 is my first ever Mac of any kind and I am just blown away at how lightning fast it is. It takes less than a minute to boot to the screen where you supply your logon info and then less than a minute to be ready to go. I can equate the battery life to that of the $329 iPad and that's pretty darn good. Having other Apple devices with iOS has made learning macOS a breeze. This also doesn't have a cooling fan, and I've gotten it warm to the touch, but not warm enough to cause damage or even warm up a coffee or your hands. I will say one downside, aside from the two Thunderbolt ports, is not being able to access my external hard drives. I spent a better part of a week trying to figure out this issue, only to realize that drives formatted as NTFS are "read only" on a Mac. I do video editing and some of the files I deal with are large enough where you need an external drive formatted that way. I did figure out a workaround for that. I'm keeping my Windows 10 PC even with the MacBook Air M1; there are some things I still need the PC for that the Mac just won't do, and to prove that, I've also done upgrades on the PC to keep it relevant for a few more years. I don't like how you can't upgrade MacBook Airs after purchase but I think I'll be okay in the long run. The MacBook Air also needs its own accessories. I've seen what Best Buy has both in store and online and I was not impressed with the prices. I have found some amazing adapters from a competitor that has multiple USB3.0 ports, SD/microSD slots, a USB-C port, VGA, HDMI, ethernet, and more. I purchased one with everything mentioned and two that had most of what I mentioned; I love the latter. I've found a great little Bluetooth mouse for a fraction of what the Apple MagicMouse costs, and of course I've bought a host of USB-C cables along with a second genuine Apple brick and cable (not what I wanted to do, but for the MacBook I'd rather play it safe with genuine Apple charging products). The same goes for a bag; I found one from a competitor that is absolutely perfect for the MacBook Air, and probably perfect for just about any 13" laptop or Chromebook. Overall I really do enjoy the MacBook Air M1; from a lifelong PC user I'm very happy with my purchase. I suspect I will be a lifelong PC and Mac user from here on out.

The M1 design is terrific, long battery life, cool, quiet and fast. The Air design is just solid after so many years of production.
