My first Apple computer- taking some getting used to but overall I think it will be a great fit.

I never leave reviews. But my recent experience with the new Macbook Pro M1 needs to be shared. I bought my first around Christmas. When it arrived, it came with smudge streaks across the whole entire screen even though it was brand new. The hinge made a clicky noise every time I opened and closed it. It would also start up to a black screen every now and then that forced me to manually restart it. I went back to Best-Buy where I got it and exchanged it for another. This second one also had hinge issues. It clicked, sometimes sounded sticky, and sometimes made a popping noise. I was so disappointed that this $1300 piece of Apple "innovation" was so inconsistent in its build quality and software. I exchanged it for a THIRD TIME today to the one I'm currently using. Straight out the box, the hinge makes a subtle yet very annoying sticky noise. Like there is syrup in the hinge. In addition, the trackpad clicks completely differently than my previous 2. It doesn't feel as satisfying as before but rather feels like and sounds like a mechanical trackpad with crumbs under it. I really thought to myself "the third time's the charm!" Nope. Terrrible. Probably going to exchange it again. 4th time's the charm I guess. I wouldn't complain this much about anything else but I just expected perfection when buying this new M1 Pro.

Would have given five stars but the Touch Bar is kind of annoying. Love the product aside from that!

Great upgrade. Had some initial issues with Adobe and the new M1 chip, but haven’t had issues since.

Had to repalce my old MAC and i'm happy to receive this as my Christmas gift

Overall a great laptop the only downside in my opinion is i like the old touch bar.

I dont see much difference than the Macbook Air. Not one that justifies the price jump.

Been trying to return since yesterday. Going around and around with site. Couldn’t log in properly because wouldn’t accept my password even though it was correct. Kept getting verification codes that expired before I could use. Terrible experience

Had to update Catalina then Big Sur. 5-6 updates and about 20 GB. Opened a YouTube video and machine ran hot. Seems that the new M1 coding will create a problem with the old Intel chips. Great machine otherwise and the screen was crisp and clear. Traded in as the software to run Intell chip set will be outdated soon.
