I'm just so happy with this computer. I really don't know what else to say. This is my second MacBook Pro and I'm actually happy that pencil broke my screen as I closed it into my late 2017 version (1708). Compared to my old MacBook this is so much faster and user friendly.

As a long time Apple user, I just purchased one of these and I'd give it 5 stars for speed, ease of use, etc. I also love that the IOS apps work on it. Here's one problem. I work at a desk with two external monitors. I have my Macbook closed and use the external monitors in extended mode. THIS DOES NOT WORK ON THE M1. You can look it up. The M1 only supports ONE external monitor. This is extremely disappointing. If you don't use external monitors, you'll love it.

Was a solid computer for about 2 years. I used this macbook mostly for school and not much else. So never much load except for the one or two project I did in iMovie and Premiere Pro, the rest was all on chrome and safari. Then it just up an died about 3 months ago for no apparent reason. Won't turn on or charge. I took it to 2 places and they said it needed a battery replacement. gonna cost 250 to 300. A little disappointing since I only used it for 2 years.

I love it- it has supported me through gaming (sims 4, fortnite, geforce), university, and work for the past 4 years!!!

Decent. Some functions I don’t understand but I feel like that is a “Mac book” issue not necessarily this model.

I bought this for the thunderbolt capabilities to run a Universal Audio Apollo based audio workstation for home recording. To that end this Mac fell flat. The CPU and memory limitations constantly crashed Pro Tools when even a few popular native plug-ins were applied during the mixing process. Specifically it chugs under Steven Slate Drums MIDI processing, IZotope Ozone 10, and FabFilter mastering software. There are workarounds, such as converting MIDI to audio and bouncing finished audio tracks but this model is not the one you want for a streamline process. Coming from a beefy Windows-based computer to this one fixed the latency issues from USB-based tracking at the exoense of overall system performance. I ordered a Mac Studio with more RAM and the Max processor to solve this problem. If you’re looking for a home audio solution, this will only frustrate you. Trust me.

Dec20 pandemic time purchased as an Apple newbie. Returned as unable to find classes. Seemed like a beautiful laptop just wasnt viable at time.
