    In October 2020, I initially purchased a MacBook Pro without the M1 chip. This laptop was decent, but then Apple introduced the same MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. The M1 MacBook is much faster and sells for the same price as the earlier version. In November 2020, Bestbuy allowed me to return and exchange my original MacBook Pro for the M1 version at no additional charge.

    Its one powerful little laptop. The M1 is faster than the other laptops I have even the i9 form the 2019 MacBook pro 16'. It is not a desktop replacement in terms of power and speed of the CPU. Solid system good construction I origionally bought it to understand the x86 apps running on ARM for macos, this has become my daily driver in the field (IT consulting).

    I’ve had this laptop for almost a year now and it’s still running beautifully. I don’t use it for every little thing, mainly use it for school assignments, a little bit of gaming, and entertainment. If I could I would get better specs but this is a great option for students or bored teens. Also the touch bar is :* chefs kiss*
