To start, I use this computer as a basic "work" computer. I'm not typically an apple user so I will never use the full connectivity options avaialble- but there are many. Very refined and light, the battery lasts forever while the computer is sleeping and in use, charges very quickly. It's been able to recognize 3rd party multi-port adapters and all SD cards, USB drives, external appliances like mouse, and external hard drives. There have been no formatting issues- unlike in older generations of imac. I haven't had the opportunity to really put the computer through its paces yet, but it runs editing with Final Cut Pro very well, and with the M1 chip this should, theoretically, only improve from here. It's nothing INCREDIBLE, but I feel very pleased with it so far, having spent just under $1500 including apple care. Very good starter professional computer, I'm impressed.

We’ve enjoyed using this MacBook Pro! Easy to travel with and very lightweight. I was initially concerned about the screen size because it’s smaller than my previous one, but it’s been perfect. The sound quality is great for streaming movies and listening to music. I use it for personal and work purposes and I have a great experience each time. It holds the charge well and best of all, and the running sounds are quite.

I downgraded to a smaller size MacBook and this was just what I needed. It’s lightweight and the battery last longer. Great for everyday work along with editing for photography.

Macbook works great and gets the job done. It's Apple so if you know, you know. The lack of ports have made it so I need to be sure to pack dongles but that isn't too much of a problem if you think ahead. Great product for the price

Before buying this computer I had the first macbook pro that came with retina display. I had it for years and didn’t want to upgrade. However, the batter started to die, and I needed a new one. This M1 macbook pro is just amazing. The screen, the keyboard, even the touch bar is extremely helpful. This laptop is super fast, and battery lasts almost a full day of work for me. I am so glad that I bought it before Apple eliminated the touchbar from their new models. The touchbar saves me so much time that makes my work easier. I won’t upgrade it until a version with some touchscreen features are added. Otherwise, I’ll go with another brand in the future.

A fantastic machine for the price! Not a big screen but so vivid and crisp it packs a punch. Great for screening movies. And it's portable! I had a Mac Air and was leary of a powerbook, afraid it would be too heavy, but it's not a problem, feels as light as my Mac Air and is SO MUCH Faster running. I am a student at UW Madison and need a laptop for school. It's light, powerful and some fantastic new features, like an on-keyboard view of what I'm typing so I don't have to look up to check my spelling. Very cool. Volume is on a smooth slide instead of a key so you can really control the output. I have so much more to learn. Amazing for $1,300.

New MacBook Pro - Highly recommended

This MacBook Pro was easy to setup and get connected in minutes. The laptop is slim, light and easy to work with. The preinstalled software is alright, but you will need to download and install the correct apps for your specific needs. (MS Office, Design Apps or other). The trackpad is large enough to easily navigate without a mouse (but I recommend one anyway). My only negative is this new laptop only has 2-3 mini ports, so if you are trying to connect to multiple monitors or anything USB you will need a connector device (these are reasonably priced but it is an extra piece)

Bought it open box but was like new. The touch bar is very cool. No issues. Very fast unlike the old intel ones. The m1 series rendered All intel ones obsolete so i would not buy any of those.

I have always wanted a MacBook Pro. After losing everything in a house fire, I decided to treat myself and get what I have always truly wanted. I’m so glad I made this choice. I have had a white (2006) MacBook and a (2012) Mac Mini in the past. Both Macs still worked until the fire this year, which was no fault of their own. I know this Mac with the latest macOS (Big Sur at time of this review) will be true to form and last me many years into the future. The MacBook Pro with the new M1 chip is a strikingly beautiful piece of machinery that runs with the ease and speed of sound. It is an investment that is worth the price.

Another great Apple Product! It holds a ton of memory. It’s thin and light and easy for travel. It has a quick processor and has some great touch screen features that are customizable on the keyboard!

I love having a new laptop with LONG battery life! I am looking forward to traveling with a laptop that is fully functional, small, light, and will last a long time without a plug. I was a little apprehensive about the 13" screen, but there are several accommodations that are there if needed. I have an iPhone and iPad but have been using a PC forever, and it is an adjustment, but not that hard. There are a few things I miss but have a lot to learn that is not obvious which is why I am going to go ahead and give it 5 stars. Oh, and I forgot to say that it is SO fast! It was a great value.

    First MacBook not so bad

This was my first venture into a MacBook and the learning curve wasn’t too bad. The touch at is an almost cool feature. It has some really interesting abilities like moving from slide to slide in a presentation or quick functions to change volume or app specific tasks. If it was a bit more programmable it would be better. The fan rarely kicks in unless I’m doing heavy video editing. For every day use it is super quick to start up and get working. The touchID helps with that quick start up as well. The webcam is a 7/10. Does a good job for video conferencing and face time Battery is excellent a charge will last all day on light to moderate use. The integration of the Apple ecosystem is the coolest part. It keeps all my messages, notes, and files accessible and in sync. Areas of opportunity The finish is delicate!! It scratches easily and scratches other things as well. The trackpad isn’t intuitive if you’ve been using a PC your entire life. It doesn’t have a “right click” function and that will take some getting used to. There are no ports to connect auxiliary devices, not even an iPhone! The fact that there are ZERO HDMI or USB ports is a big drawback. If that’s important consider waiting for the next model that will reportedly have those features.
