    I’m what you’d consider a power user, and these M1 chips are pretty amazing. I edit 4K h265 with this device without transcoding anything. You can layer about 2-3 4K clips with modifications without any hiccups in fcpx and resolve. How they can get this performance out of this chip is insane to me, especially for the price. At least with video performance, I don’t think there’s a better machine for the price.

    The Macbook Pro M1 13 inch that I got is the basic model. However, it is fast and stable for what I do, which is email, internet, business applications, writing, spreadsheet, and managing a music library. No artistic creation and editing. Laptop well built. I am happy with the purchase. Bestbuy associate was great, although she did not have to educate me about the device.
