Had a MacBook Air and loved it! I've always wanted a MacBook Pro and decided it was time to upgrade! So glad I did! It's super fast! The M1 Chip is a game changer! The battery life is impressive! Purchased this during a week it was on sale! If you are considering a MacBook Pro, do it! You won't regret it!

Very pleased with this MacBook Pro with M1 chip. It's fast, has a great feel, and looks sweet. It's really comfortable when using and works well with my other stuff like mirroring to my TV. I'm impressed and would highly recommend this laptop for overall daily use. It's really nice. Go for it.

So, I am "not a Mac person". About 90% of the reason that I got this was so that I could use it to take screen shots and make tutorials for students who take my classes (the other 10% is because I like computer hardware and wanted to see the M1 chip). I did get it open-box for cheaper than I would have found a current Macbook Air (and it was in perfect condition). Despite my general preference for Windows, this has become my go-to for emails and web browsing when I am not at home. This is for a few reasons: +Battery life. This is the real thing. I know that when I grab this laptop, it will still have a charge and be able to do whatever I need. The battery life is probably the best I have had on any laptop. +Touch ID is so much better than anything Windows currently has for authentication, so quick sign-ins are a breeze (which is usually something I want when I am having to work outside of my house especially) +Excellent build quality. It just feels nice and solid, which is good for a computer you may touch a lot. Apple always tends to win on build quality. Now, there are some reasons that I still carry my Windows laptop when I go places that I know I may need some actual computing. -Visual Studio is a bit lacking. This is very specific to C++ in Visual Studio, so probably is not an issue for most people. And at least its better than the Chomebook. -Some "advanced" tasks are a bit more complicated when compared to Windows. Creating HTML files from a plain text document is far more complicated than it needs to be. -Games. When I get some spare time I do occasionally like to play a game. Macs are not compatible with all games that I play. This particular hardware is also not really designed around gaming, but neither is my other laptop that I am comparing to. -File management. In my opinion this is just a nightmare on MacOS compared to Windows. -No touch screen/stylus support. Overall, I was expecting to use this for some tutorials and then let it sit around until those tutorials needed updates each semester. Instead it has become a commonly used device outside of my house (sorry Apple, still no comparison to my desktop). It is a fantastic general purpose and business laptop. It would probably completely replace my Windows laptop if it was a bit better for my odd use-cases; but most people don't need those things! Macs are designed to be easy-to-use and this excels at that. There are a few areas (file management) where this can become more of a hinderance than a benefit though because it impacts the actual usefulness. With the performance of the M1 chip, these new Macbooks are also a good value! That is not something I can say of Apple products very often. I am sure there will be some hardware/software growing pains with this new architecture, so be sure to check compatibility of any software you rely on first! But so far it has been pretty good for me. Though I thought I would never say this, I would recommend this product for certain people.

I bought this M1 MacBook with 8GB of RAM and replaced it with one custom ordered from Apple with 16GB of RAM. I wish you could get the 16GB model from Best Buy. The M1 MacBook is the best laptop I have ever owned. The fan hasn't come on once. It has no problem with a dozen applications open. It's never been slow. The battery lasts forever.

Absolutely love the new macbook with M1 chip. I think the last macbook I got was 7-8 years ago and just finally started to wear down on my so I decided to splurge and and get another pro. It is super fast and the screen is great, didnt think I would like the touch bar but it actually does come in handy. The trackpad is a little different unless I am doing it wrong but with my old one I could do a light double tap to click on things but this one you have to press down. Overall a great purchase, of course with apple it is overpriced but it has such a nice look and easy user face. Only big downside is of course apple takes away ports and you have to buy adapters.

I purchased this laptop for everyday use and school. Very simple and easy to use, light weight and can be carried around easy in a backpack or purse. I tend to use it sometimes to stream at night, I don't have a TV in my bedroom and the battery life is amazing and good purchase.

What can I say? It is an Apple MacBook Pro...there is nothing better. It was so easy to set up. So easy to use. This is my 4th MacBook Pro over the years and they just keep getting better and better. I purchase a new one about every 3 years. Size, speed, ease of use, everything is improved again. Apple is my favorite fruit.

I have wanted to switch to a Mac for years and because of the help I received at my local Best Buy, I was able to get a brand new MacBook Pro! This computer is absolutely amazing, fast, and easy to travel with and work on. I am extremely happy with the new M1 chip and the amazing performance I’ve seen so far.

Bought this computer for schoolwork. Functions great. Long lasting battery. High speed functioning. Durable and lightweight. I use it for over 6+ hours a day and I don’t run into any issues while using it. It doesn’t overheat or crash. I love the touch-bar feature. Touch ID makes more convenient while providing security.

This Macbook Pro was a MAJOR purchase for me as I'm a lifetime Windows user. I'm not going to lie, the first week or so was irritating and intimidating for me. I had to take little bites each day to learn how things work and to bring over or learn to use Apple equivalent apps to what I've used in Windows. After a couple of weeks I realized, well, well, this isn't so bad at all. Three weeks in I'm in love with my Macbook. Battery life is phenomenal. All apps run super-fast with the M1 chip. The display is wonderful and bright enough for any environment for me. And the speakers are so satisfying for a laptop device, easily the best I've ever heard. I find myself only going back to my Windows machine occasionally, with 95% of my time on my Mac. I'm now using my Mac for all daily tasks and for my picture editing due to the quality of the display. From someone who has criticized and held up my nose to all things Apple, I am a totally changed person. This laptop is phenomenal and deserving of all the stellar reviews it has received since the M1 chips have been shipping in these devices. HIGHLY recommended.

I had my MacBook Air for about 6-7 years. I was starting to get into editing and wanted to run some Adobe programs and it couldn’t run it, so I thought the pro could. The pro still stalls sometimes when opening up Illustrator or Photoshop. And just trying to get into my email can be delayed. The Touch Bars was a bad decision on Apple’s part and that’s why they’ve reverted. I should have just gotten a newer Air with 16gb of ram. Apple makes good computers but this was a mediocre computer.
