Loving the M1 MBA

I upgraded from a 2011 MacBook Air and I'm super impressed with the speed, performance, and long lasting battery. I originally purchased the base M1 MacBook Pro but returned it after a week for the MBA. The MBA suits all of my needs, and is virtually the same as the MBP with the exception of the extra graphics core, TouchBar, and ventilation system.

Great laptop

Not quite as fast as my windows laptop, but I’m sure it’s because it only has 8gb of ram. Should have more storage space for a 2020 model, but other than that it’s a great purchase.

M1 is amazing

Not once has the fan started, and I get about a week from each charge, before a new one is needed. My previous MacBook Pro was a 2012 mid-year model. Prior to that year I basically always purchased the extended warranty, but years later, the 2012 is still working fine and I have handed it down to a loved one. This M1 is an amazing piece of silicon. GREAT WORK ON THE NEW M1, APPLE!!

M1 masterpiece

The price was 1/3 of my previous laptop. My regret was not getting a TB HD. I just installed parallels and windows 10. Works flawlessly. M1 speed is amazing. Battery life is unbelievable. Replacing my laptop has been a wonderful relief. I didn’t have to spend another 3500 to replace the performance I had.

Just what I was looking for, except for the price!

A few months later, the fan started running full blast and overheating. She wanted the latest tech from Apple with more storage and also likes the touchbar. Size selection is comparable to what she had before and is light enough for carrying around including in her bookbag in grad school.
