M1 MacBook Review

If you want something that allows privacy, works well, very fast, I suggest buying this. The M1 chip works miracles and for what it’s worth, it’s a good buy for college students who wish to focus on school. If you are a gamer obviously Mac isn’t for you, but if you don’t mind and want to focus on school this is an amazing computer.

But that’s what you get with apple products for the most part. Some things were too over complicated for the “sleek” Mac look and it made it more difficult to use, such as the slide up and down bar, disappearing unless you were using it and it was hard to grab on to

Exactly what I needed

I wanted a MacBook that is compact but can run programs and have multiple tabs open because I’m a grad student and I am constantly multitasking. I am not the biggest fan of the touchscreen toolbar and prefer buttons to change volume, keyboard light, etc but I’m getting used to it.

Perfect for daily use

Ive used it for photo editing, copywrite, social channels - basically ran a whole business on this and more. Love how easy and fast it is. Super slick interface too.

I can go two to three days without charging it and I use it on a daily as I’m a full time student and this laptop is like my tv as well. The speed is just right unless you have a connection problem, overall I love it.

Flimsy Quality

It is the best laptop from a benchmark stand point. My problem is the actual hardware. The memory and hard drive are soldered onto the motherboard and can’t be upgraded. DO NOT buy the smaller memory and HD hoping to later upgrade because you can’t. I made that mistake and now I’m stuck with a machine that constantly displays the twirling pinwheel. The case is light and flimsy. It feels like you have to treat it with kid gloves or it’ll break. Not for students who’ll put it in their backpack and bang it around. Makes a great laptop for home use only. Not too portable. My iPad feels more rugged because it’s made to carried everywhere.
