Customers consistently note the MacBook Pro's excellent battery life, impressive performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the convenient Touch Bar, while some find the limited port selection and non-upgradable RAM to be drawbacks. Positive feedback also highlights the powerful M1 chip and the sleek design. A few users mention heat as a concern, though many report minimal overheating.

Had high hopes for this laptop. But with its lack of ports, and no sd card reader, it's getting returned. Sorry Apple.

I love this laptop, and here's why.

I am a recent Mac owner, and I have to say that this laptop is one of the best upgrades from my previous. I will be going over some reasons, as to why I love it compared to my previous 13" 2020 Intel Core-i5 (8257u) 1.4GHz MacBook Pro. The below listings are my personal reasons why you should upgrade, or why you should buy this laptop. Keyboard & Trackpad - The most important thing about a laptop, is how it feels to use. The scissor switch keyboard allows this laptop to present a nice tactile feel, that the previous, and horrible, butterfly switches didn't deliver. The keyboard is more durable, with the recently added design. The touchpad is amazing. There is nothing to say. With its glass surface, it feels very smooth. As well as its size, because it feels very natural to use. The size also allows you to use the amazing gestures, without having to worry about size. Dragging items is way easier as well. Battery life - The battery life is increased for one of the most important reasons. This ties in with the thermal side of things, but the Apple M1 chip requires less power for more performance. This means that the battery will not be spending more juice on the performance per watt. The battery is advertised as 20 hours. From my experience, I spend a lot of time watching YouTube, and it easily lasts around 2 days. However, I use mine closed, and with an external displays. Thermals - Now that this laptop has Apple M1 (ARM), there is nothing to worry about with thermals. Even when editing in 4K with Final Cut Pro, playing Minecraft at near maximum settings (developed, and unofficial native version), this laptop stays cool and quiet. Display - The display is amazing. Compared to my 4K tv, it looks stunning, thanks to it's smaller footprint. It looks amazing, and it's color is pretty good as well. Definitely not the best type of panel on the market, so if you want a Mac notebook with a better display overall, get the 14 or 16" M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pro. Brightness goes up to 500 nits sustained, which allows you to fill an averaged size room with light. It runs at 60hz, which if you use a 120hz device, such as iPhone 13 Pro, or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, it may look a bit choppy. Once again, consider the 14 or 16" MacBook Pros with M1 Pro/Max. Performance - With the efficient ARM cpu, Apple M1, you can get stunning performance from your MacBook Pro. For a benchmark, try opening 10 apps at the same time on your laptop. On this computer, it does this in around 5 seconds. However, you know how I said 10? I actually just tested it, and I opened 20 apps in around 5 seconds. Amazing. Using these statistics, I hope I was able to draw a picture on how this laptop performs in some every-day processes. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy your day.

Too Small and the M1 Chip Not Notable .......

To be fair, most would find the 13inch Mac Pro ideal. However, since I was replacing a 8 year old Mac Pro 15inch, it was just too small. I returned it for the 16inch. Also, I found nothing "exceptional" about the M1 chip. I paid the extra money expecting a substantial boost in performance and there wasn't any. So for that I gave this a lower review.

Great computer, like all MacBook Pro's, but will not connect to external monitors. Do your homework before purchasing any Apple computer, because they are a little picky as to what capabilities different chips have. The M1 chip is pretty limited.

I liked my older version of the Mac Pro, but this operating system is driving me crazy... AND, despite my paying the GeekSquad to transfer files etc. from my old system to this... It didn't happen... I live over 70 miles from the nearest Geek Sq location, so returning to a half way done job, isn't very appealing.
