The M1 chip is fast..for sure! Concern/Issue: Not all software is still not available for the new system so it is something I heavily weighed before deciding whether to stay with Intel chip or moving to the M1 chip. Keyboard is very smooth! Much better than my 2016 MacBook. The charge that this laptop holds and without plugging in while attending webex meetings all day, editing forms, etc is great!

I bought this for my daughter so she can have for school, especially her music technology class and she has never been happier. It literally has everything she needs, it's very fast, and pretty easy to use.

This MacBook is quite fast but with its limited amount of RAM, it will quickly start using your Solid state drive as a buffer and solid state drives wear out over time. I found it to be quite snappy until I started opening a lot of tabs in any browser. Interestingly, the new M2 with 24gb of RAM doesn’t exhibit this problem.

I needed to upgrade from my 12 year old laptop. Very impressed with the increased speed and sound quality on my new MacBook Pro. This thing is feather light too !!

One of the best MacBooks ever made. They really did well with the keyboard and overall design. Touch Bar is a great touch. If you are getting into video editing spring for the 16 GB version.

This MacBook is exactly what I needed for online school. It runs very quickly even with zoom going in the background for class. This is my first MacBook laptop and it was very easy to get used to.

The new M1 chip is crazy fast. I love my older MacBook Pro but it had issues overheating. So far this smaller but faster version is tough enough to make it through long days of work.

Fast and the new M1 chip seems to be help with battery life. Catalina OS is a beast if you want to try and put it on an older machine, like the 2017 MacBook Pro this replaced.

Got this for video editing and portability. Good amount of storage and runs great. Definitely recommend getting a usb adapter for flashdrives, SD cards, and to be able to connect it to hdmi.

This is the first MacBook I've owned, I have a 2014 Mac mini that I still use but I've heard a lot of good things about Apple's new M1 chip. I am currently typing this review on the 2021 MacBook Pro, and I must say there isn't anything I've found that I don't like yet! It is very fast/responsive, it has synced up nicely with my iPhone, I haven't tried to use sidecar with my iPad Air 4 yet (but soon)! Even the wifi speeds are pretty incredible! I managed to snag this on a Best Buy sale for $150 off, if you're in the market for a new laptop and are considering either the MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, either would be a great choice in my opinion.

Notice significant improvements with the M1 chip. Would have preferred 16GB memory yet not available at the time in stock. Best Buy had the M1's available when Apple didn't. So glad to have it.

Got this for my granddaughter who is an artist going to Parsons Art School in NY. She says it's perfect for her needs. Good speed, good memory, very good display for her art projects.

This laptop is amazing, as a computer science student it is great for the graphic and processor intense projects I need to complete. Battery life and display are amazing.

Beautiful display, lightning speed, and fun "extras" like the touch pad that you don't get anywhere else! Bought it 5 days ago and haven't had to charge it yet!

Best laptop I’ve ever gotten myself for school! The features are amazing and it’s so lightweight also !! I use it like 24/7 and battery life doesn’t die as fast as other laptops

Really have enjoyed this... it’s a worthwhile upgrade. The battery life has been fantastic! And the processor is pretty quick! Really don’t know if much more is needed from a laptop... nice job!

This laptop runs great and has no issues running Parallels so I can use both windows and Mac OS. I am able to do everything I need to do quickly and I am very happy!
