This is supersonic fast laptop. Loved it. It is very light as well.

This M1 macbook pro is good. Battery life is impressive. As far as cpu - I do not see much improvement vs intel. May be 10-15% faster in single thread cpu-bound code, compared to 2017 i5. But while it runs one core at 100% - it is less hot, and so far I only heard fan turning on once. Bottom line: For me battery life, updated keyboard and fingerprint reader are big pluses.

Best laptop ever purchased. Super fast and reliable. Battery holds up charge for a few days as well.

As Apple has done to us several times over - in an effort to differentiate the next product incarnation they neglect to remember the device is not an island unto itself. Compatibly is the word of the day. Sure Rosetta 2 is / was if you’re in an unfortunate region but this translation layer is a stop gap to provide time to have developers make native versions. Additionally the 2 ports on the M1 version (intel has 4) requires me at least to have a docking station (adds several usb c, usb 1 and usb3, plus DisplayPort, Ethernet, audio in and out as well as a SD card reader) but the first one I purchased was not M1 compatible and the second was but yet not totally - my external display would go crazy upon waking from sleep. So look for the fine print. I have a sneaking suspicion that they have tricked me into buying the newest Mx version every 6 months now along with the phone....tbd

Apple should know better than this!!!! Nice laptop Good speed Good battery But Some apps don’t work YET Lousy new Music App to replace the oldItunes I can’t add music to my phone without syncing?? I here is my playlist??? We all Apple fans deserve a quick fix

Very impressed by my new M1 MacBook Pro. Apple really got it right on the first try with their new processor architecture as far as I'm concerned. It runs insanely cool for anything I've used it for so far, with the processor package rarely rising above 30C. I think this is very important for longevity. Mac OS Big Sur runs smooth as silk and fast, again Apple must have done their homework to get everything perfect for the big 11.0 release on the first try. I like some of the new features like control center and the new look, while at the same time preserving the best parts of the rock solid old Mac OS X interface. I've heard a lot of criticism of the ability to run iOS apps on MacOS now, but to me this is very handy. I don't really expect or care to run fancy iOS games flawlessly on my Mac, but for some more utilitarian apps it's nice to carry their functions seamlessly over to the full size computer where a comparable option may not exist. Overall I think this machine will not disappoint having the all around quality hardware and software one expects from Apple.

I had a macbook between 08-2016 it was the best but I couldn't justify spending that money on a new laptop once I was done with school. I bought a different brand and I've only had it for 3.5 years and it's already crapping out on me. I just bought this new one and have only had it for a day and I can say this. I miss being part of the MACbook family so much. It runs so smoothly. I can finally justify this new purchase for work but you get what you pay for.
