This laptop purchase replaced a brand new 2021 HP Envy after the hinges failed on that laptop after less than 30 days of tabletop use. The last Apple product I owned was over a decade ago since my workplace is a Microsoft native environment. Well, this new M1 one chip, screen graphics, snappy keys, and seemingly infinite battery life are all truly incredible. The build quality is as good as it gets. It is genuinely a pleasure to use both the software and hardware with this Mac Book Pro. I actually like the option strip at the top of the keyboard. I also like the lightweight and portability of the 13 inch - I had a 16.7 screen on the HP envy with the screen upgrade - and this 13 inch MacBook Pro screen is still better because the resolution is so much higher. I use the camera for Zoom meetings and it is extremely high quality and I remote into a server at work without any lag or problems. Apple products just work better - the last computer was state-of-the-art from HP and it was not even close. Mac is still light years ahead of the I7 powered HP Envy in every way. Also, I downloaded the Microsoft 360 suite of programs and they work perfectly with my old database programs -

This item stays charged for a full 24 hours! Amazing! The touchscreen bar is very intuitive and so handy, its better than an ipad for less typing and more shortcuts too! Touchpad is very handy, starts up quickly, just lots of good stuff. You can’t go wrong with the new M1 chip, its the new Mac standard and all else will more than likely be discontinued. Great buy!

LOVE my Mac! I’ve had Apple phones, Apple Watch and the AirPods, but this is my first MacBook purchase. I’ve wanted one for a long time now and I couldn’t be happier! It just made sense since every other electronic device I have is Mac. It’s so easy to pair all my other devices to it. I’m not a tech guru or anything, but this M1 chip in the MacBook is amazing! Everything is lightening fast. I’m still getting used to it from switching over from a regular PC laptop, but I am so glad I did it. I really haven’t fully discovered everything it’s capable of yet, but from reading all the reviews and doing A LOT of research, I am excited! I’m starting school again in the fall, and with my MacBook, I feel a lot more confident to get right back in it! I probably would have been JUST as satisfied with the Air, but I’m kind of a go big or go home type of person, so I decided on the Pro. From reading all the reviews and everything, it doesn’t seem like there is much of a huge difference between the two, but the 20 hour battery life? Like come on, it doesn’t get any better than that. I opted for the 512GB storage because why not. If you’re on the fence about spending the money on this device, DO IT. You will NOT look back!

I’m upgrading from a 2012 MacBook Pro, so far I’m impressed with the upgrades and really enjoy having a nice full long lasting battery! The display is great and the Touch Bar is helpful! The lightness of the laptop is really handy as well.

This review is dated. This was a pandemic purchase. I have owned 2 different IPads over the years. This MAcBook Pro with the M1 chip is exceeding smooth and fast. It is also very compact. I am a firm believer in the quality of Apple products. Their support system is also outstanding.

I largely like this laptop. It's fairly compact and light and I find it easy to use, but maybe that's because I have one for work, too and am used to it.

This macbook is very slick and fast working. The m1 chip really upgrades the new laptops and doesn't make it heat up. The display is extremely clear and the touch bar is super helpful. One full charge can last for a few days which is incredible. I would totally recommend this laptop!!

I initially purchased a high end MacBook Pro even though this newer one was out.The reason being is I needed more ports and thought the higher end one would be more powerful. Boy was I wrong. I ended up exchanging it for this bad boy and I am glad I did so. I was hesitant because this one didn't come in higher RAM (8 gb being the max) but comparing this one to the 16gb intel device this is way faster and handles every task I ever hoped for. First problem is that the Intel model always got too hot (above the Touch Bar pad) whenever I was doing stuff like basic internet browsing. I was astonished because I did low level activities and it would still overheat. I have been using my M1 MacBook for a few months now and not once did it overheat. I don't think the fans even turned on once because I never noticed them. That is the main reason why I upgraded to this one even though it had lower storage and RAM it is way more powerful than any high end MacBook Pro on the market simply because everything works like it should.

Totally fits the bill - small, light, fast, and sexy looking. I upgraded from a 6 year old MacBook Pro 16 so it feels miniature, but don't let that put you off if you are making the same change. You get used to it very fast. My only complaint would be that it seems I am unable to upgrade the RAM. To be honest, I didn't think of it when purchasing but now I am using photoshop I am worrying a little. Guess it'll be a case of selling when the new one comes. Lets see. Other than that I am ace with it

During our benchmark tests, the MacBook Pro showcased excellent performance, handling resource-intensive applications and multitasking with ease. Editing photos and videos, and even heavy homework were handled without noticeable lag.

A good computer runs swiftly for my school work. I have had no issues.

This computer was an upgrade from my 2011 which lasted 10 years. I only wish I had upgraded sooner. It is easy to navigate, great battery life, and plenty of storage for me

Having come from a MacBook Pro with 32GB of RAM to 8GB to do photo editing, I am really amazed at what this can do. The M1 processor is really cutting edge. I can connect this 13" to my editing monitor with no problem. This thing will run all day on the battery. I did get the 512SSD for storage and also use external SSD's.

Wow ! just fantastic. was worth the time I took to take the final decision is just an amazing experience only when you start opening the box, very well organized and so protected, once you open it the device start like flash, very easy the set up process, not big difference on the outside but is incredible I'm very impressed with the powerful performance the immediate processes and the wonderful battery life. The only real con is the lack of USB-C ports on the MBP, but is usual having to buy extra ports with the Apple computers I didn't experiment with my music quite yet but I'm sure I will enjoy opening my music softwares without me having to take a nap while they opening lol I will share the experience. Overalls just amazing !!

Very happy with the speed of the new mac M1 processor. Much faster opening office programs. Battery life is impressive much better than my 2017 air and 2012 Macbook pro. Unit is very light weight and touchbar is awesome!
