Customers consistently note the MacBook Pro's excellent battery life, impressive performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the convenient Touch Bar, while some find the limited port selection and non-upgradable RAM to be drawbacks. Positive feedback also highlights the powerful M1 chip and the sleek design. A few users mention heat as a concern, though many report minimal overheating.

I had to get a new MacBook Pro because my older one was not holding a charge and would die suddenly even though it said it still had a charge. This new MacBook Pro holds a charge for a fews days with casual use. It is fast at loading large apps. I mainly use it for Excel and paying bills online, etc. It might be an overkill for what I use it for but I have always had a MacBook Pro and did not want to step down to a MacBook Air that does not have a fan for cooling. The Touch Bar is nice and easy to use.

    Love My First Mac

This is my first Mac and I'm still learning how to use it and I love it. At first it was a little strange since I was an avid PC user. The more I use my MacBook Pro the easier it gets to use. I just wish all computer programs worked on Mac but since they don't I will just keep my windows laptop close by. This is a great laptop. My daughter loved it so much she purchased the 16" MacBook Pro the next day. I like the 13.3 size better. It is more convenient for me to carry this size than my windows laptop which is a larger size and heavier. This MacBook Pro is so light weight. I can't say enough good things about it. I think the MacBook Pro will have enough apps for my everyday use. Now I am considering on the purchase of the Mac Mini for my desktop and go Apple products all the way for my computer, iPhone and tablet needs. It took me years to get the nerve up to make the switch and so glad I did. I like how all of my Apple products connect together and I don't have to put the info in on all of my products. When I went to Best Buy to look at the computers my intention was set on another MacBook. When speaking with the Manager about what I would use the computer for he suggested the M1. So far what he told me has been spot on. I purchased the 8gb ram and 512gb storage which is plenty for me because I don't play game or do anything fancy on it. I also love the New Beta Program which takes care of my Apple Care needs and everyone knows it is expensive but necessary to have.

I have been a Mac fan since the early 1990's. This laptop (MBPro 14", with M1 Pro chip, 16 GB DRAM and 1 TB SSD) is VERY fast, with excellent battery life and great portability. Build quality is as you would expect for a $2k system, very high. The display is gorgeous with great aspect ratio, keyboard is excellent, speakers are great, etc. The only slight nit is it seems a bit heavier and thicker than it needs to be, but really it is as close to perfect as you get. I have been using computers since the 1980's and MacOS has always been easier to use than most alternatives. I administer many Windows 7/10/11 systems and Windows Server 2019/2022 systems for work, but prefer MacOS for my personal workstation. You literally could not pay me enough to use ANY other OS for my personal system. I have been using Unix since before Linux even existed (early 1980s), DOS before Windows existed, etc. There has never been an OS that is as reliable, easy to use while also supporting virtually every application you could ever need as MacOS. As an aside, I have tried running LogicProX with 20 - 30 plugins, etc and this sysem didn't even start breathing hard. I also have a Mac Studio for home use, and although that system has the M1 Max CPU with 32 GB of RAM, I don't see much difference between the performance of the systems. There are few workloads this laptop cannot handle.

Top Notch as usual. M1 chip has no problem with legacy software I had on my previous system. Keyboard is great but slightly smaller - takes some getting used to. Problem with having only 2 USB ports solved with a compact $20.00 usb Expander that provides more capability than any previous Mac model. Love the battery life. My 2013 was about out of gas. I don’t game . I just do desktop and photo stuff mainly and it just works. I upgraded from an I/7 chip and this is at leasr as fast Live it.

I bought this laptop to replace an aging 15-inch MacBook Pro and an even older 12-inch MacBook. The difference in speed and battery life isn't subtle. It's very fast, and runs for several days' worth of use on one charge...and I use it rather heavily, usually on battery. Since the two older computers still work, although not optimally anymore, I wasn't really wanting to buy this computer when I did, but was concerned that Apple would abandon the "Touch Bar" with the next update. As it turned out, they didn't, and the latest 13-inch MBP (2022) apparently continues to have the Touch Bar...and the same list price. I have no actual experience with the newer MBP, but doubt that it is dramatically better than this one, based on Apple's ads. So...if you can get this model at a discount, it should be a good deal. The M1 processor (M2 in the newer model) has its advantages and disadvantages. You can run iPad apps--not necessarily as well as on the iPad, which is great. However, as a hobbyist programmer, I've had some difficulties getting some of my programs to work on this computer (specifically a couple of Kotlin programs). It can be difficult to distinguish between M1/Intel incompatibility and local/online-only files (I had to make quite a few files online-only because of the relatively small SSD on this device. Aside from that mostly minor inconvenience (I can run the affected programs from an IDE, if I have to), I've thoroughly enjoyed this MBP since buying it about a month ago.

I purchased this as an upgrade from my 2017 Intel Core i5 MacBook Pro. It far outperforms that laptop, as I expected. What surprised me was how close this laptop was in graphics and processing performance to my specialized Windows gaming laptop - which has twice as much RAM and a discrete, high-end graphics co-processor - and this laptop does it weighing half as much and with five times the battery life. Definitely the most impressive Apple laptop I've owned, and I've owned quite a few.

I'm a photographer, and needed better "juice" for an out-of-state, multi-day photo gig. My 15" 2012 MBP was great, working fine, but still 9-year-old processor and no longer MacOS-upgradable. This new M1 MBP is fast, lightweight, with awesome battery, generates almost no heat, and is the perfect "second computer" for a photog on the go. And Best Buy's discount came in at about 17%--Apple Small Business discount typically tops out at 7%.

First time Mac user, and enjoying it every day. m1 chipset is powerful, yet battery life feels like ten time better than my work laptop when I first got it. Once you know how to utilize the touchbar, you'll be glad that you went with MacBook Pro rather than MacBook Air. Bottom side slit where the vent is rather sharp, and felt like I would cut myself someday. I used 2000 grid sand paper to round the edge. Now my MacBook Pro is perfect!!

just in awe learning the Touch Bar and other features is a delight this machine is very patient in waiting for me to catch up (if ever) the battery life is extraordinary - leaving all kinds of things open across 4 desktops - and plenty left at the end of the day only one tiny annoyance - no USB - so an $80 dollar gizmo is required wish list - someday please build in a sliding cover for the camera - ruins the aesthetic to use a folded something

I love this. It’s very easy to use and the touch scroll bar is nice to use. I don’t use the Touch Bar all the time but will probably try to use it more often. The battery life is excellent and I get a lot of use out of it without charging. Also nice that you can download iPhone apps on the computer as well with the Big Sur update. The processing speed of the computer is very fast and I would recommend to anyone looking to get a Apple computer.
