Exceptionally fast computer. Does everything you could want. Ditched my old Windows laptop for this one. Don't see myself going back to Windows ever. Plenty of expansion possibilities with multiple ports. Most new laptops don't have half the ports this one has. The display is very bright and what else is there to say. I have owned it for about a year and half already and not one crash and I have installed many third party programs on it without any hiccups.

the macbook pro works fantastic! It's way faster than the old one and it doesn't get heated even with heavy programs. The keyboard feels super nice as well.

The screening speakers are beautiful. I have not had one hiccup with multitasking while working from home. Multiple video conferencing and some light video editing. It scrubs through the video files like butter. I also really appreciate the engraved macbook pro lettering on the bottom. And the ports! I don't know why they ever got rid of them. Reports on this thing. They never get in the way. And it's super convenient to have them, especially HDMI. Don't forget magsafe is back with this one too!

This is my first ever MacBook and I love it! The sound is wonderful and I can have many programs running without having to worry about the laptop overheating or slowing down. The visual aesthetics of the laptop are very appealing to! It charges very quickly and the battery last a good amount of time. Definitely recommend getting a case for it since it is a very slick design and I’d be wary of it slipping out of hands/off of surfaces.

The best MacBook Apple has made in a decade. The apple silicon has done wonders for battery life and performance. Apple with their reputable and top of its class materials and design have made the best laptop for professionals and casuals alike. Definitely worth it if used for work, and worth it if found on sale for casuals as well. The display is top notch and has the best speakers you'll find on any laptop period.

Constantly amazed at how little I think about this laptop - it just works. I still wrestle with iCloud’s consistency but love the Apple suite of apps - Pages and Keynote, specifically - and I use this one to present to huge groups, regularly. When I speak at a large auditorium where tech leads don’t want you using anything but their tech, they usually relax and allow me to lash right into the main system via the HDMI out put because they know this Macbook Pro will crush it. I build large presentations - 2-3 gigs per Keynote because of video, large photos, etc. There’s never any stutter. IPad Keynote has the built in remote, and even in a large auditorium w spotty wifi, all I have to do is connect laptop and iPad to my iPhone hotspot and I create my own mini network. Love this laptop. M1 Pro still rocks out in final cut pro and I don’t find myself wanting for power. Get 16 gigs of ram.

This laptop is by far the greatest piece of engineering that I have had the privilege of using. The M1 Pro processor, despite being the base model, is more than capable of handling all workloads thrown at it without difficultly. That being said, the battery life is why I am deciding to keep this laptop, as it far exceeds the battery life on ANY windows laptop I have ever used. The performance/watt ratio is phenomenal. The screen is another reason that this laptop far exceeds any of its competition. The Retina XDR display has all the benefits of al OLED panel without the drawbacks. It is much brighter and has a 120Hz refresh rate which is very noticeable when moving back to a 60Hz display. My only issue with the laptop is that unlike previous Macbooks using Intel processors, it does not run Windows natively. Sure, you can use emulators, but the experience is not great at all. Having to give up a few apps/games due to the lack of compatibility with Mac was concerning at first, but given the rest of the package, I am nonetheless very happy with my purchase.

Has a little weight to it, but not heavy at all. I have arthritis, so having a lightweight laptop is very important to me. I do genuinely love this computer. Runs like a dream with GarageBand, and plays videos without lagging. Only trouble I’ve ever had with playing videos is when I have it connected by HDMI to my tv (which is about 10 years old), and since the MacBook streams it so fast, sometimes the tv lags with the connection. But other than that, no complaints! It does get a little warm sometimes if I have my computer sitting on my bed, but that’s just user error with not letting the fans on the sides have room to cool it off. Battery life is good, but with binge watching shows. lasts about 3-4 hours before it’s at about 20%. I wish that was a bit longer, but it seems to do fine with GarageBand and other Apple apps, and doesn’t take too much battery for those at all. Overall, I’m satisfied! Photos taken of it on iPhone SE

Excellent as expected. Pure apple quality as usual. Everything just works, feels good, looks great and performs great. The M1 chip outpaces my i9-9900k that’s overclocked to 5ghz on all cores in single core tests. Falls short in comparison on multi core tests. But that’s expected as my big rig is a powerhouse. Regardless, that is impressive and was only running on battery power when I did the tests. I love it and hope I can find something to use it for that actually uses a fraction of its potential. Oh, the screen is beautiful mini LED. HDR very crisp. SD card slot, 3-4 lightning ports and headphone jack. If you are looking at getting one, I can’t think of a reason not to unless your waiting for the next model.

The best MacBook/laptop I ever owned. This MacBook is super fast. Since I had this laptop I had to place it on the charger only 3 times… 3!!! I had the previous model MacBook Pro with the touch bar and I’m actually not missing that Touch Bar AT ALL, I didn’t like it. I love that they brought back the traditional keys. The finger print unlock button has a fast response time, like super quick. The sound is great for it to be a laptop. The charger it comes with connects by a magnetic force, I think this is a great idea incase you or someone else trips over the wire, your MacBook shouldn’t come crashing down… however that magnet is very strong so I’m not sure how easily it will release and detach from the magnetic port; just a guess. The fan is super quiet too. I suggest you go to apples website and watch the presentation they have and fast forward to the part about these MacBooks and different chips. The video isn’t boring at all. It’s straight to the point and very knowledgeable. Even if you don’t know what the numbers mean when they briefly show the comparison statistics from the previous model, you’ll still be able to understand that this new M1 pro chip is powerful. We all know apple strives to be the best. I purchased the 14inch, the 16 looked way too bulky and it’s heavier. The 14inch definitely puts some significant weight on my backpack, but it’s only a few pounds which is bearable. I got this MacBook $200 cheaper than the original price because of “student deals” (I’m a college student and a mom) and I believe that week it already had a couple bucks off as well. Words of advice, always buy protection plans for your items. Ask about the “Total Tech” program the next time you make a purchase. Hope this helps :)

The Perfect Upgrade From 2015 MacBook Pro

This thing is very fast and the screen quality is amazing. The 14” M1 Pro is the perfect laptop for anyone it’s super fast. The speakers sound great, The 14” is the perfect size for all around usage. It beats all laptops out there and most desktop available. The M1 Pro is a great upgrade if you’re coming from an older MacBook Pro. I skipped the 2016 to 2019 because of the ports and dongle. The SD card slot is very important to many of us and to see that it’s back, is just awesome. “14 is the perfect upgrade for the 2015MPB lovers. It has the same similar style ports but the updated versions, plus the MagSafe is back. I love the headphone jack it’s very loud and clear compared to my other macs. Love how you can charge it using the MagSafe or any of the three usb-c ports. I can finally use my portable charger. Thank you Apple

This is an incredible machine in every sense. I have always been a Windows user but switched to an M1 Mac mini when it was released and immediately fell in love with MacOS. The Mac mini served me well and was still lightning fast after a few years of use. Upgrading to this portable MacBook with more memory has been incredible - MacOS is even faster, more responsive, and smoother than ever before. The MacBook itself looks and feels premium. Sound quality is fantastic, the screen is beautiful, and the trackpad is so intuitive and fluid I don't think I will ever go back to a desktop set up. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. I was between a 14" and 16" and ultimately went 14" because it's the sweet spot for size. The 16" was surprisingly heavy and clunky when used in person. I do worry about battery life from time to time (I'm used to a desktop which I just left on usually playing music 24/7) but the MagSafe charger does allow for fast charging.

One of the best laptops. Very happy with it. Excellent battery life and doesn’t run very hot. I’m a power user and it handles everything I try to do! You can even run Windows in Parallels. However I would not recommend this machine for gaming. For everything else, it is wonderful. Touch ID works fast too.

I bought this MacBook Pro for school after many years of using a Microsoft Surface. The only thing I really miss is the touch interface. The screen looks great and the music coming through the speakers is really loud and clear. It even has a little bass to it. TouchID makes getting in and out of the device super fast. Battery life is also great. I do wish this macbooks physical color was darker. I was confused at first and thought they gave me a regular silver model. I wish they had done a dark black color like they did for the MacBook Air. Other then that this laptop has been great for school and is recommended by the program I am in.

I notice that this MacBook Pro 14" had gone on sale via TotalTech for $1699, and I could not pass it up. At $1999, I'd say the price is a little steep, but this laptop is lightyears ahead of other MacBooks, and worth every penny at that sale price. The speakers? Wow. The Liquid Retina XDR Display? Double Wow. All those ports? Icing on the cake... The sound that comes out of the speakers is so good, that you really don't need headphones, unless you are trying to be quiet around others, etc. The keyboard is just.....perfect. This is also great for photographers with that SD card slot (thank you for listening, Apple). I had tried to go cheap and buy an old 2015 MacBook Pro 15", but it was nothing but problems for me. Just spend the extra $1,000 and make it "future-proof". Very, very impressed. Thank you, Apple and BestBuy!!
