Great buy! Laptop is a great working machine, Best buy was great.

It just works! And, it works very well. I am very happy with this purchase. The only caveat would be that the sound is somewhat low, however, a free eq app will solve this problem.

So this may end up being the anti-review review but to start off with the form factor it feels like Apple went backwards with this one. Yes there were many detractors of the previous MacBook but once I got used to the lack of ports I adapted. Now they've released this boxy weighty thing with ports I rarely use like the SD card slot. I also loved MagSafe and didn't like that it was taken away but again, I adapted. Beyond all the ergonomics and looks, this is my first M1 Macbook and man it runs great. Keyboard feels good and I don't miss the touch bar, at all. The extra screen real estate will be nice going forward also.

Beautiful display, superfast processing, great streaming. Gotta get apps that support the M1 chip. The x86 emulation slows things down. Great Mac Book. If you need x86 virtualization, this is not it and Windows, this is not it, but if you're all in with Mac OS and Apple ecosystem, it's a great laptop.

Best laptop I've ever owned, hands down. This thing is absolutely amazing. I was hesitant to upgrade from a 2019 MacBook Pro 16" i9 I purchased last year, and this thing is so, so, so, SO much better. The screen is better. The speakers are better. The camera is better. The battery life is way better. The thermals are better. I have zero regrets. Just get it already!

An amazing laptop. Zero issues within 1 year of use

Its amazing to me how powerful this little machine is.

Just replaced my 10 year old MacBook Pro. New computer is fast and new color options is nice as well.

I got this as a replacement for an HP Omen 16" gaming laptop with an Intel i7 processor. There was a slight discount on the price so I went for the 1TB SSD, but was intending to get the M1 Pro chip. I use this for work as a designer, working with Adobe CC software (Photoshop, etc.). Extremely quick and enables AI calculation abilities not available pre-M1 chip. The battery goes down 50% after about 8 hours of work. For me, using an external ergonomic mouse is crucial, as the work I do cannot be done using the touchpad. Also, the TouchID began to fail to read my fingerprint after a few weeks. I need to reset that. There are functions on this MacBook I haven't begun to explore yet, as I have used Windows PCs for a long time. I do use a Mac in office, and use the MacBook Pro when working remote. It features slightly thick, flat edges and even though is listed at 4.7 lbs, doesn't feel feather light. Even so, it is much lighter than my previous few 16" Windows laptops. Screen graphics are brilliant and vivid. I anticipate this MacBook Pro will be a great investment for a number of years.

Best Apple laptop ever. Fast, no fan noise, no heat.

Absolutely love this laptop. I've owned a series of MacBooks, MacBook Pros, iPad models (base, mini, pro, etc), iMacs and I've always been disappointed in the processing power when it had intel chips and disappointed in the graphics since processing power were so limited and had no real world potential unless you paid $1k+ more to have decent graphics and a laptop that burned your lap from over heating. This MacBook Pro by far is the complete opposite of those intel version. Graphics, awesome. ARM chip, awesome. Battery life, extremely awesome. No overheating on my lap, should have been part of our expectations with the intel models too. The one issue I have that I think it could be resolved through software updates or when apps are more optimized for ARMS is memory leakage or too much memory being used up when i don't have much installed or open. 16gb ram is okay, but I wish Apple would authorize Best Buy to sell custom or at least additional 16gb ram addon. But other than that, nothing else I have a problem with. Still rating 5 stars because apps still need to figure out the bugs for ARMS and MacOS to do the same but this is to be expected. Still better than Windows.

Very good laptop much improved from the last generation especially the keyboard. Speed is on another level. Display is amazing I prefer to watch shows/sports on this then my 32 inch tv. Best laptop I have owned, only small downside is the silver is a magnet for fingerprints so keep a cloth, case or get the space grey.
