This year's madden has made some good improvements in the passing game which allow for more control of how and where you want to throw the ball.

Love the new Madden, all the new features are awesome. I feel much more involved and in control of the game.

Absolutely love Madden games. New franchise mode is awesome. I love the way to attack the ball as DB or WR.

Huge improvement in Madden 16 is definitely the refined passing controls. Being able to have percise control of where you throw the ball (depending on QB stats of course) is great. Takes some getting used to but it is a huge improvement. The catching is also great (although it needs to be refined because it seems like EVERY receiver can make catches like ODB, Dez, Megatron). Defense plays well and being able to time the snap as a dlinemen is good and balanced so you cant abuse it. Draft champions is really fun. So far it does not seem like a money grab like Ultimate Team. However, the biggest flaw is that at launch Franchise (CFM) online and offline are broken. There are issues with finishing a game and then the game freezes. Player progression is broken (Players can have stats over 100 if they do well, if they do slightly bad their stats will drop to about 10). These are the major issues I have seen. It is clear that the focus for Madden now is Ultimate Team. I personally dislike this game mode because I do not see the point in paying for virtual cards that will expire. Overall, the game is fun but the broken franchise mode really left a sour taste in my mouth. I should have waited to buy instead of getting it day 1. However, with Madden being the only NFL game there is no option,

It's Madden, you get what you expect. A few tweaks with the catching and passing system makes you feel like you have more control over players.

It's Madden that we love and hate, I love more than hate. Biggest changes are passing, defending passes, and run blocking all for the best imo.

Madden has always been one of my favorite games. They made some changes which make gameplay more realistic.

Graphics and UI got a much needed overhaul. The gameplay is great as always. Must have for any madden fan.

My teenage son really likes this game. When his friends come over they love to compete against each other.

The game is much more fun when playing friends or other online as the commentating is about as annoying as always. That said the mechanics have been greatly improved with more control over the types of passes, catches and defense that is played. You can now throw a jump ball or a low point ball based on where the defender is. You can use a possession catch, RAC or aggressive catch and you can play the offensive player or the ball when on defense. It allows more customization and options. Overall solid but mainly incremental improvements.
