Big thing that sets this year's Madden apart are the move to a new engine (FrostBite, the same one that Battlefield uses) and a new story mode. Both are fantastic additions. Frostbite makes everything look just a touch more realistic, and Longshot is actually very well written and acted. Also something I thought I'd mention is that online Co-op is back: it's stupid that this great feature was ever taken out in the first place, so it deserves to be mentioned that it's back in now. I also think it's very fitting that the best QB of this generation is the cover boy for the best Madden this generation.

Best madden in years, and it looks incredible on the Xbox X .

Graphics look great on my 4K HDR tv. Players look real.

It's Madden. Presentation is stepped way up and blurs the line between watching a TV broadcast and a game. Online connected franchise is dissapointing and very bare bones. There are some weird glitches in franchise mode...injuries happen WAY too frequently and if there's contact on a catch, forget about it, you won't hold onto it.

This is a much better game than the previous iteration.

Standard, not innovation besides adding story line. Same screen you have to go through , same defects are still in pace from last year's version. Same server issues, but as long as you are playing during the week and not the weekend, it has fun online play.

Like every other Madden it is very similar to the previous ones. A few updates every year. MUT still continues to be the bread and butter for this game, but the Franchise mode is still being neglected by EA sports as it hasn't changed at all in years. The LongShot mode is cool but not going to blow you away.

I have been playing Madden since the beginning. I mostly play franchise mode online with a few friends. This alone makes the game worth picking this year brings the addition of a new story mode. Called long shot it has you play as a project player from highschool thru the draft. It is a welcome addition.
