I would not recommend buying any madden series due to lack of promise EA gives the consumers each year. With very little change in Madden 18 the same effort has happened in Madden 19. The MUT is about spending more money that doesn't hold any value.

If you notice most of the reviews were made before the game even came out. Kids making reviews based on hype. After I played the game for several days i came to my opinion of this game. The graphics were definitely an improvement and is almost worth the upgrade to 4k. The AI is still ultra human with some defensive plays. All in all the gameplay was definitely better and smooth. The game is completely updated with the new rules and the officials are quicker when challenged. The Longshot portion of the game could have been left out. That is the main reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5. It had to be the biggest waste of time you will ever have. Nothing in the Longshot will contribute to you later on. My biggest challenge was staying awake during the hundreds of cut scenes and useless mini games. Even Fifa2k17 version "The Journey" was better. Other than that the game was worth the money if you don't mind a minimal upgrade from last year.

Total piece of junk. This is far & away the worst version of Madden I’ve played in some time.

The campaign story is so bad i stopped playing all together

another pointless madden. a game that belongs in the garbage.

Not a fan anymore used to be way better back in the day

The best part about madden 18 is the story mode and franchise mode. What I enjoy about story mode, you get to play as Devin Wade as you try to help him to catch his NFL dream. You start off by playing at his high school then he goes to the university of Texas to play for the Longhorns. Devin Wade doesn’t have a great collage career. So he goes to the NFL Combine and preforms decently and then the scouts notice him. They tell him, “We’re going to put you on a show called Longshot.” He goes to Longshot and has to compete with four of the greatest quarterbacks to come out of collage. Devin Wade beats all four of them. Then Devin Wade gets drafted to the LA Rams in round seven of the NFL Draft. Franchise mode is always fun as you get to play as a player, coach, or owner. What makes franchise mode fun is how you get to create your player and let him be the best player in NFL history. I like to be a coach because you get to control your team and keep or release players. What I really like about franchise mode is you get to be an owner. As a owner, you control everything. Being an owner is fun because you get to relocate to a different city; I like that a lot. Those are my favorite parts about madden 18. I do have bad parts about madden 18 as well. I didn't like how they took out draft champions. Draft champions was fun because you get to draft your own team. Then after that you get to compete with people online. When you compete with people online, if you win you get some of there coins and if you lose then you owe them some of your coins. I like it because you get to compete with other people online that to me makes it fun. To me, what they could've done better with madden 18, is make defense more fun to play. I just felt like madden 18 is all offense and less defense. It’s really hard to pick off passes in madden 18 and recover fumbles. I don't even play defense, I just Super-Sim past defense to get to offense. I do like high scoring games but I do like to play defense as well. So I hope that when madden 19 comes out, they fix it so you can play more defense. And I wish they will bring back draft champions. I would like them to keep story mode, maybe Devin Wade part two with his good old buddy Colt Cruise. Thats my take on madden 18 .

Good game overall, just not a huge leap from prior year's game. EA Sports does a good job with game play, however atmosphere lacks some of the excitement of an actual football game. They need to work on creating hostile environment that actually feels like you are on the road when playing. I wish the frostbite engine would have brought more graphical enhancements than what it did.

Great improved graphics the Longshot could use improvement

Madden is a yearly staple, much like call of duty. This scratches the itch to watch football between games. Every year new improvements come. This one is no different. I like how they want you to play more skill positions on defense now.

Madden has always been fun, especially cfm. Was disappointed this year though that there wasn't much improvements to this mode. Instead long shot was added, which is ok but not what I'm really interested in. Game play has improved through and graphics keep on getting better.

Madden on the Xbox one plays comfortable I really love it when I got my Xbox one for Xmas Playing on the ps4. New commentary is amazing each week.

Awesome new edition to the best football gaming franchise around. Madden 18 seems like it may just be, the best yet!

Fun game and cant go wrong when you buy it on sale.

Great game and franchise! Buy it every year so far

They may fix some of the gameplay issues, but as of ~3 weeks after release, it's still buggy. Would have given 3 stars because of how little changed from Madden 17, but Longshot mode is a lot of fun. It's a short campaign that rewards you for playing multiple times. It has a lot of heart, which the rest of the game sorely lacks.

So excited to try this game out. I love madden games
