This game blew me away with its story! The graphics are good but not great. The cutscenes are very well done and looks like a movie.

Beginning starts of boring but turns really good after driving through the sewers & reaching mardigras, can't wait to play again

This game is underrated in my opinion and it has to do with story more than game play. This game is great and would buy again.

Awesome game, really feels like you are in New Orleans back in the day. Great missions and free roam type game. Story is excellent.

I gave this four stars because there are great parts at work in the game: characters, story, gunplay, soundtrack is second to none. However, I had to quit playing the game because I got bored with the repetitiveness of tasks. Go here, kill joe, repeat. They came so close to something special.

Graphics, gameplay, story all very good. Lacks multiplayer, but one of the best single player games on the new systems.

The story here is the driving force, its told in a really interesting way. Shot in a documentary like style with lots of flash forwards. The basic gameplay of driving and shooter are totally fine, they just don't really try anything new. Overall its a fun game that can get a little repetitive.

Ok game no what I was thinking. Is the same over and over

Game looks decent but the AI is silly and the physics in the world are glitchy. All games are repetitive to a certain degree but that especially applies to the missions in the game. Some people said the "Mad Max" game from 2015 was repetitive and average but I, and many others enjoyed that one and thought it worked well for the material and ultimately was just fun (BTW check out "Mad Max" which you can find for just a few bucks if you overlooked it and you're looking for a good story-driven, open-world game with driving). So, I'd describe "Mafia III" as repetitive and average. The strength of the narrative and the the things that are good about it don't transcend the gameplay mediocrity. That being said it's not bad and might be the right game for the right person at the right time.
