The story! but the gameplay

Flawed Game with a GREAT mood & important topics

It crashes, freezes, missions don't pop up right, etc. All that considered I love this game! I love the music, the civil rights era of American history is such an important time for all of us to remember. I encourage people to give it a chance. Plus the driving mechanics & gunplay are pretty fun too...

Beautiful story plague with lack of content

However, the game is fairly short and lack of replayability. Mafia II made a bigger impression than its predecessor. I only recommend this game for the story. Other than that, it falls short to higher expectations set by other games this era.

Great game, if marred by a lifeless city

While I had a blast playing through it twice, I did feel that the open world nature of the game kept it from losing itself. Its worth a go if you're an action adventure gamer...or just love something to hold you over until the next Rockstar open world game comes out
