    I purchased this so that I could downsize my cable bill I’m so glad I did remove my phone from AT&T service and now I only have a yearly bill. I connected it into my modem better than having it hooked up to my computer.

    I got rid of cable and use this for my house phone. It works well, but be aware that the 12 months free is for new accounts, not renewals.
