Works great lower your phone bill I Have Been Using it for years

This review is for the current & previous product: When properly set-up & installed MJ works well. The cost for land line style calling is very low & works with any traditional home phone. The device should be protected by Battery Backup (UPS) to eliminate "dirty" power issues like micro spikes & surges. When plugged into commercial power (with or without generic surge protection) the micro circuitry will fail sooner. MJ's customer service is awful, it's like tech support Kindergarten. Same for sales & billing, no rep knowledge - just a monitor in a cube with a script (one reason for ** rating). Also, don't count on an extended warranty - it's useless (the other reason for **).

Good alternative to landline for my elderly parents.

The magic jack itself is working fine. My only complaint is that it kept getting delayed in shipping. I think it took over a week rather than the promised 2 days. I highly recommend the product though

The VOIP is very good. Simple to hook up. BUT with ANY issue, it takes 15 minutes to get through the phone tree. Not on hold, but on the phone tree

I am a bit disappointed that when someone calls and when I pick up and say "Hello" that they can't hear me right away. I have to say "Hello" at least 3 times.

Works just like advertised. You can not beat the monthly cost of around $3.50 a month for a landline.

These actually worked well for me for many years until I needed help. Tech savvy though You really don't need to be, I was hacked or compromised in some way. People calling me sometimes would have an unknown person answering my phone! Then MJ shut off my phone. So I reached out for help. Their is a number to call, it's just automation, no real help. Their is a web chat app, also just automation no real help. So I sent an e-mail on their website. The e-mail was answered by tech support who told me to send another e-mail to MJcares. I'm asking for help and have been a loyal customer for years. They sent back a reply telling me I had violated some term of service! I'm asking for help and being accused! I Lost My Home phone number and over a year of already paid for service. So be warry.

If you want to get unreliable random calls that work temporsrily after they fix it, but have it break, days, weeks, or months again regularly, then this is for you. Don’t think they care about improving the quality or getting your service back up anytime soon, because they are in no hurry.

Magic Jack has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered! The quality of the call using Magic Jack was horrible.
