Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works real well. Gonna save me money from having an expensive landline from the major telephone company. Only problem I found is the time stamp is an hour ahead from me, and also caller Id hasn’t been showing the name of who is calling. May be something in settings I’m missing.

Good value - instructions need help
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value. Instructions were not accurate. Finally was able to reach someone to speak with and we finished effectively. You will need a computer or phone with the app to retrieve the messages.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My cable internet company offers VOIP service for $30 a month and I barely used my landline. I canceled my phone service through my cable internet provider and paid to port over my phone number to magic jack. The price can’t be beat for the same service. I love that I’m saving money and still have a landline for my limited needs.

More reliable than Verizon
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works. Verizon is so terrible now that I need a reliable backup in an office setting. Sound quality is excellent. I remember when Verizon was top of the heap.

I love my magic Jack
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had magicJack for over 5 years I had to buy a new one because the modems have been all upgraded to the newer technology and so the magicJack had to be renewed to match the newer technology I love it it's very inexpensive to have and it doesn't really have many problems that go along with it it's actually great

Use of magic jack is new to me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's working fine. Only concern I have is that when I call my contacts, unknown caller shows up on their collars ID. I tried calling magic jack customer service but hold time was excessive and had to hang up. Hope this corona situation is over soon then I can discuss my issues with the provider.

It's VOIP, that sums it up
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a MJ for many years. Problem was my old one required being plugged into the USB of an operational computer in order to work. I hated having a computer running 24/7 just for a VOIP line that I rarely use, so I upgraded to this one that plugs into my router instead. It does the trick and is a decent, fairly cheap way to have a quasi-land line.

Don't count on reliability,,,
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I primarily use MagicJack for fax service and for that it's been great. Initial setup was somewhat convolutes and you are going to be charged additional fee if you want incoming and outgoing calls features and this is completely mislead in the set up. I would suggest people to call the support service toll free number to have them go through the setup to avoid paying the additional fee. Also, I discovered that I experience a great deal of downtime though I have yet to formally reach out to my Internet provider or MagicJack but I can say that I have not experienced down periods in streaming my Netflix or Prime series so what does that say. I think 3 star rating is justified only because of that. If I were to spend that time my overall review would likely be lower.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Been using it for over a year and was able to port my old phone number easily. I like that I can receive voice messages in my email. I think it needs Windows 7 or higher.

Love Magic Jack.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love magic jack. I don’t get any spam calls . Instead of a 40.00 phone bill it’s only the price every 12 months. I am was so tried of our local phone carrier . Highly recommended. Only time it may go down is when the router is down. Still worth the wait .
